3 THINGS FOR WEDNESDAY

Good morning!!!  Today's my Monday!  Blah!  But that's okay, three days and I'm done for the year.  And actually, tomorrow will be a do-nothing day because we're taking my Captain out to celebrate his retirement.  I'll miss him, although he may be coming back in another capacity.  Fortunately, I know and like his replacement, so hopefully, it'll be a seamless transition!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  Dad got a good report at the doctor's yesterday.  The spot has not grown, so they'll continue to follow it up with CT scans every 3 months.  MUCH better than the alternative!

2.  Everyone who called, texted or PM'd me with good wishes and concern for Dad.  It means so much to know that we're not alone when facing scary things.

3.  B's concert last night was nice, but bittersweet.  This is his last year in elementary school and I'm kind of sad to see him growing up.  How many boys would allow their aunts to say, "There's my little penguin!" and smooch them to death?!!  LOL!!  Of course, when he thinks I'm not looking, he rubs my kisses off!!  Brat!!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hugs,

Tia

Good Morning Tia - I am sooooo glad to hear your Dad got a good report. I am glad they plan in staying in top of this with regular reviews. Awww - it is hard to watch B go through the stages of growing up, bittersweet as you say. However, the connection you have is firmly in place and he will always love you. He will get to a stage later on where he will complain if he DOES NOT get those kisses. So hang in there.

I am in my usual frantic holiday rush - to much to do and not enough time. However, it always works out in the end. Today I am thankful for...

1 - My health - I am still maintaining a reasonable level of function without an inflammation flare up. I am able to resume my full workouts (when I have time right now). I am ever vigilant as I do not want to re-experience what I went through for several months. Since the variables that caused it will never go away, I am learning how to manage it and not feel powerless.

2 - A job - work continues very nicely, still not permanent. My contract has been renewed for the third time and I am starting a new topic this week. I am welcoming the change of pace.

3 - As ever - my constant - my family and friends - nuff said.

Have a super day!

Hi Debbie!

I'm so glad to hear from you - I know things are hectic for you this time of year.  For me, too - I was actually kind of glad to get back to work!  Not really, but.....

I am VERY glad to hear that you're relatively pain free.  I know how frustrating that is.

And constant work is a comfort to you, too, I know.

Have a great day!!

Hugs,

Tia

Tia!  I'm so glad to hear about your Dad...I was praying all kinds of hard for that one!

I'm so excited today!  Those of you who are FB probably know why already!

Here are my three -

1.  My BFF called me last night.  She and her hubby have been going through a rough time - he had brain surgery last July, and his condition has come back, but now on the opposit side, so he is going in for another brain surgery in January.  They've had it rough.  But, last night, she called to tell me that all the praying for them has given them an extra added benefit - they are PREGGERS!!!  Baby #3 is due in August, and I can't be more excited for them.  I've known this girl since we were in junior high and I love her like she was my own sister!!  I continue to pray that her hubby's surgery goes well.

2.  Size 22 pants today baby!

3.  My friends and family - glad to see everyone is happy and healthy, especially this holiday season!

Thanks, B!  I wasn't TOO worried, but then, the doctor came in and listened to his chest and then left again, saying, "I'll be back and there're some things we need to discuss," and I could feel my BP rising!  But all was good - he just wanted to beat on Dad about smoking.

I will keep you, your BFF and her family in my thoughts and prayers.  Hopefully, the thought of a new beginning will help them through this tough time.

22?  You go, girl!!!  You're melting before our eyes!!  I love it!

Hugs,
T
