My Surgery Was a Great Success (May be TMI)
Hi Everyone,
Thanks to all who sent me PMs for my plastics last Friday. Just wanted to take a minute to update. Dr. Lickstein is pretty much a God in my Book! He drew on my for about a half an hour and really prepped me well. Surgery started at 8 a.m. and I was in recovery by 5:30. He took a little over 9 pounds of tissue (skin/fat) in the circumferential body lift, and a liter and a half of tumenescent fluid and fat in lipo. Didn't remove any breast tissue, but re-located some of the hanging tissue from the lower pole to the top, removed and tightened skin and I have better breasts than I've ever had in my life. Came home Saturday early afternoon.
I went for my first follow up yesterday. When Lena, the RN, took the binder off, my husband looked at my abdomen and cried. He was so happy that after all my hard work and what I was going through to have the surgery was giving me the result he said I deserved. I told Lena and Dr. Lickstein they have no idea the impact they made on him to have made him cry! (And there's the fact that he finally admitted he was worried.) The incisions are beautiful. It really pays to have a skilled surgeon, that's for sure. I'm going to do eveything I'm told and take it easy so I get the best result I can.
I am sore and stiff, but am so happy I did this.
Thanks again for all the well-wishes.
Hugs. Terri

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

You should be so PROUD of yourself honey. I would have cried too. You have been though a lot. Im so glad you came through surgery with no complications. I fear plastics although I know I will need it. I have 10 pounds of skin hanging as it is ;o( YUCK! But surgery scares me as it is. I hope I will be as lucky as you one day soon. CONGRADS!!!! (((Hugs))))
