xpost: HUGE wow moment/NSV for me!
I went shopping today for an outfit to wear to a couple Christmas events. I haven't bought much clothing since surgery, so I had no idea what size I was in. The clothes I'm wearing now range anywhere from 26-22. I grabbed a top in a 22 and it was too big. They didn't have it in a 20, so I grabbed the 18, assuming it wouldn't fit....it actually fit!!! I am exactly 3 1/2 months out today and I walked into the hospital the day of surgery wearing size 32 jeans and am now wearing size 20 pants and size 18 tops. Needless to say, I LOVE my RNY!
Thanks for letting me share.

So happy for you! Be prepared in the next few weeks to discard those size 20 pants cause they are not going to fit you anymore!
I'm right here with you -- had a similar experience. Went into Walmart last week and tried on a pair of 18 jeans just for the fun of it. Wanted to see if they fit -- and YES they did! Not 18W, not 18 plus, not JMS .... 18 AVERAGE and it said so right on the tag!! Amazing what makes people like us feel so good, huh? Last night I bought myself a new blouse (because nothing fits anymore), and it is a Large (12/14!!!!) The last time I wore a large I think I was 12 years old!
I am also finding it odd and feeling a bit different that I don't have to shop in the plus size department now. It's a weird feeling cruising the aisles of the regular sizes - I totally feel out of place.
Like I said, it's the little things in our daily lives that make us feel so good! Wait til you hit those rollercoasters this summer. Hersheypark here we come! Wishing you the best!!
