In The Emergency Room Again Yesterday

Well attack of the gall bladder again.  I was at work when it started and with in 30 minutes it was steadily progressing.  I walked myself to the pharmacy to get meds that my Dr called in for pain and spasm but of course they were farting around.  I couldn't  wait for them to decide how long it was going to take to fill them so....I walked back to my office got my stuff and drove to the ER again. 

I can't believe I drove myself, I was in tears the whole trying to breath - I was in the thick of the attack while I was driving  and when I arrived. I had so much pain that my clothes were soaken wet from sweating it out.  They triaged me QUICK and got me in a bed.  They got an IV me probably within 20 minutes after I got there.  A registrar came to finish my check in and I was like LOOK, I can't even talk to you right now let alone sign some ****! 

WOW this one was pretty intense and came on fast and strong.  THANK GOD for IV meds for pain and spasms!!!!!!  It was instant reliefe and I was in LA LA Land.  This time a CT Scan which of course showed NADA.  Thye couldnt do the HIDA because of the narcotics.

So I'm off to the Gastro on Monday first thing.  I am on my knees begging they take this out before another comes. 

I am exhausted today but the pain meds help me sleep well.  I could call anyone who offered to help last time because there was no way I could talk and drive, I could barely breath and by the time I go the ER - there is no reception but outside.  I literally got out of the car and threw my keys at the valet and was doing lamaze the whole way in to triage. 

Gall Bladders SUCK!  I can't wait for it to go!  My surgeron agrees but I have to get the gastro to agree to.  If not I may just have my surgeron do it or refer me to a colleage of his that WILL do it per his reccomendation.

I'm stocked with meds for nasea, spasm and vicotin, but cross your fingers for me that this damn thing comes before I end back in the ER again! This is really putting a wrench in things for me right now and I just want to move on already!

I am so sorry you are going through this! That is scary **** You should have gotten a coworker to drop you off! I hope you can get it taken out soon to end your misery! hope you feel better soon.

Ugh, Nikki!  I'm so sorry you have to go through all of this.  Gallbladder attacks are the WORST pain imagineable!!!  I hope they fix you up SOON!

Oh man I can relate, had my worse gall bladder attack in a movie theater bathroom. hubby didn't even notice I was gone for 45 minutes. I was literally on the floor, moaning in pain!

I really hope they can get it out. I could see my stones on the scan. Good luck!

Syvlie I know UGH!  Everyone who has had says it is like the worst pain EVER...i was rolling in pain on that ER bed.  Moaning like I was dying :( 

Worst part for me is I have no stones...just spasms (functionality really I suppose)  I stil hope they take it out.

THanks everyone!  All your replies are keeping me something functional today. I am at work and wish I was just at home in bed!  I just tried to have a little lunch and my band wanted to say NOPE...NONE FOR YOU!  Didn't go well so looks like I'm gonna stick to liquids today. 

Not sure if the stress on my body yesterday has made me tighter today but I'm just going to take it easy! 

Protein Chai here I come ...well what's left of what did not spill on the floor of my care this morning eh!

Nikki I am so sorry you had to go through this! Please dont drive yourself to the ER............Get a co-worker to take you or call an ambulance!!!!    I hope they take it out for you!!!
