On a more upbeat note - 3 months post op ALREADY!

So I am roughing it big time today but I decided to have my friend at work take my 3 months post op photos - tomorrow, 12/11 is my actually 3 months to the day OUT!

She said OMG when she saw the comparison.  I notice the weight loss mostly in my everyday "doings" physical activity, but not as much in pictures.  I am happy and proud of my progress when I see the numbers on the scales, but I still have alot to work on in many aspects of this journey!

Maybe I just don't notice as much because I have been clouded with other things...(see my last post)

I hope I can really start to tell when I do my  6 month comparison.  March 11, 2010...here I come and hopefuly a few lbs lighter

You look wonderful!  I can't tell from the front on my pictures - but I can tell from the side.  I'm only a month out though.

Great job!  I'm proud of you!  Sorry you've had such a rough time, but you're doing so well!

Nikki -

You look great!!  I'm so happy for you!  You'll find that noticing the progress in your "doings" is actually more fulfilling than watching the numbers on the scale.  That's why they're called non-scale victories!

Keep up the good work and hang in there!

Hugs,

Tia

Get your vision tested woman, you can TOTALLY see the difference. Nice job! I wish I'd done monthly photos, but I am glad I did measurements. so, do them both and you'll be shocked at the progress you make. sometimes the numbers will show it when the scale doesn't and sometimes just the way the clothing fits will.

First, let me say I sympathize with you on the gallbladder.  I had mine removed many years ago but I remember the pain very well.  Like you just want to die and come back to life in a few hours.

Second, congrats on your weight loss!  You look great!  I had a WOW moment today myself when I was able to walk into the store in the REGULAR ladies department and try on a pair of jeans (Size 18).  And only had to pay $12.00 for those Walmart Faded Glory Jeans instead of $40-50 from the darn plus size catalog!!!

Nikki - You are  looking so terrific. I agree with Sylvia - get your eyes checked! Just joking - Im sure it's tough to really see what others see. But your progress is really amazing. I bet you're not sorry you got the band now!

As for the gall bladder, surgery stinks, laproscopic or not. But It's going to stink a LOT less now that you are down nearly 60 lbs. When I had mine out, they had to use extra long instruments and they punctured my bowel. I had to be in the ICU for 4 days and on top of it, the surgeon laid it solely on me saying that if I'd care more about my body, I wouldn't be in the ICU. At the time, I felt guilty and ashamed...later I was POed! Anyway - point is, youre going to have a much healthier procedure and recovery now! That's something to feel proud of!

Keep up the good work!
