3 THINGS FOR THURSDAY
Oh my goodness, it's been a long week!! I went to K's second band concert last night, it was nice hearing Christmas songs (at least THEIR interpretation of Christmas songs - LOL!). You know, I once again was amazed at the irresponsibility of parents. On Tuesday night, a little girl was standing on the folding seats and fell and got her leg stuck. Last night, same thing!!! Seriously? My brother and I watched it all and agreed that, as he put it, "We would've gotten our a$$es busted!" had we acted up like that. Worse yet would've been the fear of what awaited us when we got home!! LOL!!
Today, I'm grateful for:
1. Today is my Friday. I'm all caught up at work, but I'm not at home, and it just makes no sense to just sit here! So I'm off tomorrow.
2. Christmas jewelry - Yes, since the day after Thanksgiving, I've been all decked out. And I LOVE it!!! LOL!!!
3. George comes home tomorrow night. I've REALLY missed him and my wake-up calls!
Hope everyone has a great day!
Tia
I hear you on the kids thing...my daughters are so lax with the grandkids. Those little guys don't know what hit them when they spend the night with Grammie and Grampie....LOL. I was at a Iron Birds game with my girlfriend over the summer and we watched as an 8 year old little girl in front of us was putting a rubber band between her front teeth and snapping it with her fingers. In one horrible moment, she was choking on it. The dad got up and ran over to the trash to get her to gag it up. The mom, well, she never even put her book down. Just said, "These kids won't let me enjoy anything." What????
And Yay to George coming home!
Here are mine:
1. It's nearly Friday. Thank goodness. LONG WEEK.
2. Bob's going to be away again Saturday night - he's DJing a wedding in Salisbury - so it's girls night at my house.
3. Sounds like my step-daughter and her husband will be moving back to MD from Buffalo soon. The cir****tances surrounding why are not good (son-in-law works for GM and is about to be laid off AGAIN) but it will be nice to have all my grandbabies in the same state again, and I'm thankful that they feel comfortable turning to us for help (Technically, Bob and I are BOTH their step-parents since Bob met the girls' Mom when they were 3, 5, and 7).
