The weight is coming off!

Hey all. I have my 1 week follow-up appointment tomorrow to get my official weight.. but according to my scale I've lost 19lbs since surgery and I'm almost in twoville!  I know this is probably mostly water weight since it's the first week, but it's very encouraging! I haven't been under 300 since before I got pregnant 3 years ago. I know I won't lose this quickly all the time.. but boy it feels good and I am enjoying it. It's nice seeing my Wii character getting a little less "obese" lol.

Let me tell ya, tonight was rough. The hubby and  daughter ordered a veggie pizza for dinner. It smelled so good! My daughter kept putting it in my face saying 'BITE" lol.  I made myself some banana protein pudding for dinner. I've been mostly drinking chocolate protein shakes, so that was a nice change of pace. Hopefully after my appt tomorrow I'll be on mushies! I just want some FLAVOR!

Hopefully after the drain comes out tomorrow I'll be able to get a lot more walking in. I may even be able to take my daughter to the mall to see Santa. We'll see. :)

That is awesome!  Seeing some loss should remind you of why you did this even as you are not feeling great during recovery.  Keep up the good work.

Congrats Lisa!!!

I had the drain for weeks after my hernia operation ebcause then I got into an accident 2 weeks afterwards ... long story short, I wore it to work and everywhere. I bought leggings that ended at my calves and would stick the drain down the side or even under tights :)

That's great, Lisa!  Just hang in there!  The first 6 weeks or so are the worst, and soon, it'll all be a memory.

By spring, your baby will have a healthier, happier Mommy chasing her all over the park!

Hugs,

Tia
