3 THINGS FOR WEDNESDAY
Good morning!! A bit late here, thanks to computer issues at work. Looks like we're all up and running again, though.
Today, I'm grateful for:
1. The friendship/sisterhood that I've forged with Angie! Today is a milestone bday for her. She's a wonderful friend and has persevered to have her wls, despite setbacks. She truly is a great addition to my life!!! Love ya, girlie!!
2. It's payday. Which means I can treat myself to lunch. But knowing how the weather is, I brought some chili, so I'm not sure what I'll do.
3. K's band concert last night was bittersweet. As I sat there listening, it struck me that this is her last middle school holiday concert, and it made me kind of sad. She'll have more concerts in high school, but it looks as if she'll be going to a magnet school outside of our community, so it won't be familiar. Of course, it's called a winter festival, because we have to be PC, dontchaknow? These kids worked really hard and have come a long way in three years. I was amazed, however, at the rudeness of both children and adults. You can't turn off your cell phone for one whole hour? You have to talk during the program? And what about your kids? You can't be a responsible parent long enough to make your smaller children sit in their seats? Sheesh! Happy is better behaved than some individuals I saw last night!
4. The beautiful Christmas cards I've been receiving from OH members - some with heartfelt messages written inside. I just love these! Thank you!
Hope everyone has a great day!
Hugs,
Tia
1. I'm off early today for the textbook buyback, and off tomorrow - going on a bus - day trip for some fun and drinks with Amy.
2. I think I did well on the final last night, it's definitely not an A; but I'll take a B considering all that went down this semester with all the distractions.
3. My newest NSV - Jerry even had something to say about my laughing - it seems that he's not heard me carrying on and gasping for breath only to laugh some more in years. I never let him know that I would have a leaky accident if I did. Some horrible secret to keep, ain't it? Now I don't need to explain anything, and he'll probably never know about it.
4. It's Angie's birthday and I'm so honored to have her as one of my fah-wends!!!! Happy birthday!
5. As for the rest of my friends - love you all and really, really appreciate having you in my life!
Next week, I'm working Sunday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, closing each night.
It can be a horror if you're not staying on top of things - but with great teams like the one I have, we git er done!
