Vent session #1, Waiting on an approval!

Just a quick vent session. I'm waiting approval from my insurence company. The surgeon's secretary said I'm well taken care of, but the agony of the wait is truly affecting my daily activity. I try to stay busy and not think about it, but my stomach getting in the way is a constant reminder. It's like everything is on hold and I can't function until I hear a date. Crazy huh?

Well, i'm sure a lot of us can say, "been there, done that" and yeah the wait for approval is probaly the most frustrating of the entire process. Hang in there, it will happen b4 u know it! I can definitely say that. The moment i found out that my paperwork went out, i started calling my ins. co. and that was the second day! They told me that i had been approved the day b4. I know that some are quicker than others but if u just can't hold it in and if it has been a few days try calling ur ins. company directly.  Good Luck, i hope it happens soon for you.

not crazy at all but be aware that it can take up to 30 days for an answer...


I waited 2 weeks even though i knew we'd be approved it drove me nuts.... 

It's definitely a frustrating time but just remember  "this too shall pass"!

Hang in there.... it"ll all be over before you know it!!!

Thanks Ladies. Your support is truly helping me. It feels good to get advice from those who can relate.

If you want, you can call the insurance company and get a status update....it may calm your nerves....

I'm sure everything will be okay though.
