3 THINGS FOR HUMP DAY!!!

Woo-hoo!!!!  Almost!!!  It's almost Friday!!!!  Can't wait!!!  It's been a long week - and I don't really know why.

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  You'll be glad to know you don't have to hear about George going to settlement anymore!!!  Because it's all completed!!!  Thank goodness!!!!  Hopefully, things will calm down for him now.  Tonight, I'm going to see the house, and then we're headed to Home Depot to look at paint, etc.  He asked for my input, but he and I have VERY different tastes in colors, decor, etc., that it should be interesting!!

2.  That my scale is moving downward!  It's all because I'm focusing on the proteins, fluids and limiting bad carbs.  For me, it's as simple as that.  That's NOT to say it's easy, but at least I know what to do.

3.  My family and friends.  This is always a given for me, but I'm such a happy girl right now.  I hate to think that I had to find someone special to be truly happy, but I think it's true, for me, anyway.  Don't get me wrong, I realized all along that I was blessed to have a family, friends, job, etc., and any of my friends will tell you that I wasn't sitting at home pining for what I didn't have, but it always felt like something was missing.  And now it's not missing - and caring about someone and having them care back is just the best feeling in the world.  I've found a great guy - he's a wonderful father and provider, an extremely hard worker and just a genuinely nice man - I definitely hit the man lotto!!!  LOL!!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hugs,

Tia

It feels like a looooooooong week because lastw eek was so short! 4 day weekend, who wants to come back after that?

Thankful for:

1. Last Saturday sales at Goodwill. Got 4 dresses, a jacket, a skirt, a sweater and a t-shirt for $30.

2. 2 more days till Jeff's holiday party. We decided to stay in DC that night so no worries about driving anywhere. the party is near a metro stop and our hotel's near another metro stop, on the same line.

3. 3 weeks from now I'll be in LA and another week, I'll be in India. Cannot wait. It better be worth these 10-11 hr days I am putting in at work.

4. Got to add a fourth. That whole scale moving downwards. With the 10-11 hour workdays, who thinks I have time for the gym? Anybody? Well, even if you say yes, no, I don't. So, by last weekend, I'd actually gained a couple lbs from my doctor's last weigh-in. since I can't make it to the gym till after my India trip, the plan is to restrict the calories instead. Lost those 2 lbs. The goal still is another 10.

What 4 day weekend? I was off since the Friday BEFORE Thanksgiving!!!!  LOL!!!  But yeah, I guess that's it!!!

That's a great deal at Goodwill - I guess it depends on the area, because frankly, I'm not impressed with the few I've visited.

Is it just you and Jeff going to India, or is this a family trip?

You want to lose 10 more?  From WHERE????????? \

Have a great day!

Good morning!

I'm so glad that George has finally settled on his house!  I know you are all kinds of excited.  I'm glad you found someone that makes you so happy.  I know how valuable it is.

I've been struggling the past couple of days...going back to work has been hard, and between the work and the commute, I'm really tired and cranky.  That, and when I hopped on the scale this morning, the darned numbers haven't moved since my two week doctor's appointment, which is really frustrating.  I KNOW my body is adjusting to things, and the weight will come off, but there's still that thing in the back of your mind that says, "Well, great...even this didn't work."

Patience is a virtue, it's just not one of mine.

So...here are mine...

1.  Family and friends - as always.  I have a wonderful group of friends, and they are ever expanding.

2.  Smaller clothes - I am taking solace in them right now.

3.  A good cup of hot tea...its good for what ails you.

Good afternoon, now!  Yes, I'm a lucky girl - it took me about 2.5 years and many, many, many dates with many, many, many tards before I found him.  Actually, he found me.

Okay, PLEASE don't stress about the scale - it can be your best friend or your worst enemy.

Don't worry - I've NEVER been known for my patience, either!

Have you ever been to Baltimore Coffee & Tea in Timonium?  We MUST go!

Hugs,

T

Good morning all. I have been feeling pretty blah the last couple of days, and today it ha**** me full blown. I am pretty sure I have a sinus infection, and my glands are swollen & swallowing hurts, a slight fever......I think the bed is going to be calling my name all day today!

Today I am grateful for:

1} hot tea with lemon! I believe Bernice said "good for what ails ya!"
    I second that!

2} for medications that say "may cause drowsiness"......in my body that means " you WILL sleep!!!"

3} for my daughters......they have endured so much & they are still super troopers! Enough said......

Good day all!

Ick, HOJO!!!  Hope you feel better!!!  I used to get terrible sinus infections until I had sinus surgery in 2004 - it was a blessing!!!!  No infections or issues since then.

Make sure you drink plenty of fluids both to keep yourself hydrated and rid your body of the YUCK!

Hugs,

Tia
