Food Eulogy

Tomorrow I'm on clear liquids.. getting prepared for my Sleeve on Thursday! Good god, I hope it all works out this time!!!  So, I thought I'd right a quick "goodbye" to food. This is all in fun, I know I'll still be able to eat.

Oh food, how I loved thee. You comforted me when I was blue. You helped me survive PMS. I came to you when I was happy, sad, or just plain bored. You were always there for me, food. But now is the time that I must say goodbye to you. Oh dear food, we will surely meet again but only in small quantities. Protein will be my new best friend and carbs will be a thing of the past. Oh dear carbs, how I have enjoyed you for so many years. But we must finally part ways. It's for the best, I promise. Food, you will always live on in my heart and in my love handles. I will never forget you. Though our relationship is changing, it will be better than ever.

Awww, that was so sweet Lisa!  I am so glad that it's coming together for you and we've already dusted off a seat for you on the bench!  Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Thanks Candy.. :)  As you can see on Facebook, I'm kind of keeping it low key, as far as the "whole world" is concerned.

What a great sense of humor Lisa.   I know you are getting anxious, nervous and excited. If you weren't feeling that way, you wouldn't be normal. I am so ecstatic for you, this time it's really going to happen! Thursday will change your life forever! I had VSG back in Feb'09 and besides my children, it's the best thing that has ever happened to me!  I truly never realized how unhappy and unhealthy  I had become. Day after day, year after year you don't even realize what's      happening , BUT, believe me, everyone else knows how miserable you are. An amazing journey awaits you! Here's to a speedy recovery, and a thin you, that's been waiting to join us ALL on the bench!!  Good luck, and ask your Angel to keep us informed  on Thursday !   Thanks, Leslie :)

OMG, Lisa, this was great!!!  You definitely have the right attitude - particularly when it comes to knowing your life isn't ending, but rather just beginning.

I can't wait until you join us on the loser's bench!!!  Nikki's your angel, right?  Make sure you have her number so we can hear updates!

I totally get your eulogy, too - Ben & Jerry STILL aren't happy that I broke up with them!!!!  LOL!!!!

Ha...Hershey's keeps sending me love letters...I think they may go bankrupt without me.

THAT explains the "RIP Bernice" sign over the Hershey's store in Times Square!!!! 

It's just like the Swiffer commercials...Hershey bars are dedicating songs to me on the radio and sending Mariachis to serenade me.  It's really quite sad.
