One of our members passed away....

we here at tri-county wls group are devastated to hear that one of our members passed away last week after 1 year out from bariatric surgery...  they're doin' an autopsy this week, which delayed the life celebrations...  so the viewing and memorial service is this coming weekend.  they're not sure if it's bariatric-related or the H1N1 flu... but,

i'm posting this to see if anyone would like to attend her viewing (sat. nov 28th from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM) at the Kalas Funeral Home, Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, MD and the memorial service on sunday, 11 AM at the same place?

if you do, please email me and maybe we can all go together, as a stand for one our own fallen heroes!!  please keep her family in your prayers...

So sorry to hear this. Can you tell us who she was?

her name was lizette sierra (her username on obesityhelp.com was lizette710)... she was probably in her late 30's or early 40's (i'm guessing....) but someone on obesity help actually told me...

please pray for our group also.... this is the 3rd member in 7 years to pass away.... and we just don't know how to handle it...

That is so tragic I feel so bad for her family. Was she here on the OH board?

OMG!!!! No way. She just had her surgery this summer I think..........she and I exchanged emails about what exercises you can and cant do after surgery. Her avatar was a HS pic of her laying on her side in super short shorts right? OMG! This is so very sad. She was so excited to have this surgery. I wonder what could have went wrong. They think it was the H1N1? Something else had to be going on too. A woman who had bypass who worked with my husband died over a year ago and her Doctor said it was from drinking too much and doing that with a bypass will kill you. There are so many things we have to take into consideration when we commit to this surgery. I just pray her family can find some peace through the holidays. So very sad indeed. ;o(
