Dating After WLS - Tia maybe you've been down this road!

So I have some concerns about this.  First of all I do have a guy friend but he is just that and sometimes I feel myself reaching for more!  And would really like to just go on a date.  I am feeling a little more confident now than I was over the summer at my heaviest and I just want to explore and see and have fun!

Generally I will exclusively date a man who is attracted to plus size women because that is what I have always been and will surely be for awhile!

My questions is if a man generally likes bigger women and I'm steadily losing, how to deal with that.  I mean do we talk about the surgery early on.  My one concern is if I start dating someone and that eventually they will be like you lost too much weight and not be interested anymore.

I've recently started chatting with someone - sexy as as mother%&$#*  HAHA but he likes big girls.  He told me generally betwen 18-22 so I fit his preference now but what about later....

I'd just like some input or thoughts on this.  YES I know someone should like you for who you are no matter what but at my age its about the total package - physical, mental and emotional attraction.

Needless to say my physical attraction for the man of the week is OFF THE CHARTS right now! hahah

Hey Nikki!!

I'll answer you via PM, but why don't you join me on the Singles Board, too?  There are some awesome people over there - and yes, we've all been down that road.

I think, if you post this over there, you'll get some spot on answers.

Hugs,

Tia

Nikki,

I married my husband when both of us were at our peak weights.  BOTH of us prefer big partners and this has been a concern for us later on down the road as we continue to lose weight..

We've talked about it.  And while I realize it's different in a marriage, attraction is attraction.... but what we have determined is that once you meet and love someone if later on down the road their body that you loved changes, you still love the inside so the wrapping doesn't matter as much....

Ticker is from Day of Surgery.. weight goal is personal preference as I've MET my doctor's goal
