3 THINGS FOR MONDAY!
Good morning!!! OMG! Yesterday was sooooo beautiful!!! Unfortunately, other than run some errands with Mom, I did NOTHING. I was tired from being up early and working to help Kathy move on Saturday, I was just a complete slug yesterday afternoon and evening.
Today, I'm grateful for:
1. That I saw friends come together to help on Saturday. We actually had fun (if moving can be fun), and Kathy's new place is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute!!!
2. Iced tea - Debbie gave me a beautiful selection of flavored teas and I've made some yummy decaf teas lately. Saves me some $ by not constantly buying drinks!
3. My early morning phone calls. They always put a smile on my face. But....why is it that Christmas is just right around the corner, yet December 1 seems light years away? LOL!!!
4. I'm starting my Christmas baking on Friday. I'm SOOOOO excited!!!
5. Twilight/New Moon is this week!! I'm excited about that too, as is K. I can't think of anything better than spending the premiere night with people I love!
Have a great day, everyone!

1. Christmas shopping almost ALL done. Just need the one big item for sis and a couple small things for stockings. Then, I have tof igure out if I'm shipping a box of gifts to the in-laws or paying extra to check it with Air Tran.
2. Realized that I haven't really gained weight. The numbers I was comparing myself to were right after my accident and my doc pointed out that trauma diets rarely work haha. So I haven't strayed. Yay!
3. DSW: returned 7 pairs of shoes on Saturday and found 1 perfect pair of flats. Maybe I'll post photos.
NEXT!
Nope! Christmas baking. This Friday. Cookies. Probably chocolate chip, because KB like to help roll, flatten and decorate the sugar cookies. I like to get a head start on things so I can enjoy the season. I'm ALMOST done shopping, too. Just a few more things to get, then I hand it over to Mom and Dad for wrapping, bagging, etc. I HATE that part of it!!
I know it's hard to not look at numbers, but often, how you FEEL is a better indication of your success!
7 pairs? Wow!!! I LOVE shoes, but my bunions, not so much, so I find that I have to sacrifice style for comfort. Hence why I'm in flip-flops today!!!!
Have a great day!

If you know of a way to spread out the baking, and keeping them fresh for a good month or so, I'd love to hear it so I don't kill myself doing so much in one short weekend.
Good morning ((( Tia )))
Happy Monday to you too :) Yesterday was a beautiful day and I am not sure I even opened the front door :( . I woke up early feeling a bit punky and went back to bed. It took me a while to get up enough motivation to even get out of bed. I did get a big batch of turkey chili made in the crock pot and fixed two containers for lunches this week, a container to pull out for a dinner this week, and two containers into the freezer for other dinners. I've got a pork loin to throw in the crock pot maybe tomorrow or Wednesday to make some bbq, and that should be it for having to cook again until NEXT Sunday .. I think we can live on the leftovers we have in the fridge, plus the chili and bbq.
1) The sun is shining and it looks like it will be a gorgeous day .. unfortunately, I will only see it from my office window .. but on the bright side .. I DO have a window.
2) There was a NEW number on my scale this morning .. .one that I haven't seen in ummmmm.. at least 2 1/2 to 3 years ... This definitely puts me within 10 pounds of my lowest post op weight. I'm not going to be too excited about the number yet, because if this is like past numbers, it's just tormenting me . and will pop back up a pound or two before it settles back down. Maybe wearing the little red dress in Vegas isn't a total dream .. :)
3) I have some time at work with a good friend who is retiring and the 25th will be her last official work day. I will miss her very much, but I know she's going to truly enjoy her retirement.
Ok, off to make the coffee and get to work!
Hugs, Mo
Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
