Home
I finally home, as in my own home. I really am happy my Mom was able to put me up for a few days - the recliner and handicapped toilets did the trick.
I'm still having some issues with my blood sugars. They are all over the place, and it may be because I have a tiny throat infection. Turns out they scratched my throat really good when they put the tube in, and the CPAP made it worse that night. The worst part of my recovery has been this tiny sinus infection and sore throat. I think I've finally beaten the sore throat.
My one week follow up is scheduled for Tuesday. I've not had any problems with getting in my protien drinks (I only need to do 2 oz at a time, a total of 8oz the whole day), but the rest of the fluids are not going down happily. Nothing is coming up, but it's sore.
Bob's going to take me to the park tomorrow morning for a walk - I've had to do laps around my mom's house thanks to the Nor'easter and I'll be glad to get out and start moving. I'm going on mushies on Tuesday, so Monday I'm going to stock up on some beans, eggs and cheese.
I'm so glad to be home. Oh so glad to be home.

I was just saying to Darla that you should be coming home from your Mom's today. I'm glad you are!!!! Nothing like being at your own place!!!
Just remember, the s/f popsicles will help with the sore throat AND with getting your fluids in.
Sounds like you're doing everything right, so just hang in there and everything will fall into place.
Please do NOT hesitate to call me if you need ANYTHING!
Hugs and love,
Tia
I'm loving those sugar free popsicles...they are easier to get in than fluids which I end up swallowing gas with them...ouchie.
I'm anxious to see the doctor on Tuesday and see what he says. I'm annoyed about the soar throat - I get sick every time I'm in the hospital (LOL) but at least this time it was a throat infection instead of something down south...LOL
I got your number...I'll call if I need ya!

Again, I am glad you're home!

Hey Leslie - it was nice to be at my Mom's - although she's elderly, and I worry a lot about her pushing herself too much.
My dog was spoiled rotten at my Mom's. We're currently working on deprogramming her...her hips were bad at my Mom's but its because of the Nor'easter. She's doing better now that she's home, but she's missing gramma treats!
