Does anyone experience this? I swear since the change in time, I've been really down. I just bought one of those lights. Hopefully that will help.

Oh sweety, I hope it helps. I have never experienced the seasonal mood affects personally but my husband does. He gets really depressed when the weather is like this.

Staying busy really helps. I have to make sure we're doing stuff together and I'm talking to him more through the day.

come have linch with us today, I promise it'll help

i wish i could but i'm up in aberdeen, far from you guys. I do try to stay busy but sometimes I feel like it is pointless. luckily my best friend is coming down this weekend so i won't be staying in bed all weekend.

I hadn't thought about it being seasonal, but I have been way down the past week or two - and it is NOT PMS, although I am blaming hormones...

I have even thought about talking to my PCP about going back onto anti depressants, although I didn't want to...

you want want to try light therapy first.

they are a bit expensive. usually 100-200 dollars. you want to get one that is specifically for seasonal effective disorder and has at least 10,000 lux.

this is what i bought:

I've read good things about light therapy....hope it helps.  I've been up in the wee hours of morning since the time change.....but it's been a good thing since I'm getting finished with work early and getting house things done.

Hope you have a great day!

go to walmart or home depot and buy a FULL spectrum light... (like for plants)   only  sit by it in the morning... it can make you manic and make it hard to sleep at night if you do it too late in the afternoon....

also talk to the PCP about a low dose of seratonin for the winter....
