3 THINGS FOR THURSDAY!
Thank Dog it doesn't feel like Monday! I was a little afraid it might! I can't believe how much rain we've had - although I love snow, I'm REALLY glad it wasn't cold enough for that - we'd be shut-ins for sure!!
Today, I'm grateful for:
1. Pain pills - Yes, narcotics. My shoulder, after doing some lifting here at work the other day and some Christmas shopping, has decided to flare up a bit. I'm hoping it'll ease up so I can help my friend move on Saturday. Ugh!
2. My day off yesterday - It was such a nice day! Went to breakfast with Dad, grocery store - got a 22 pound turkey for $10, lunch with my brother, then did some shopping - blissfully alone!! Mom didn't want to go and I am very much a solitary shopper. I picked up some more things for Christmas and some baking supplies. Darla - note: I had taken heed of your advice to buy sugar before it went up - we checked yesterday and we have......75 pounds!!!! LOL!!!! Guess I'm good for a while!!!
3. DD Cinnamon Coffee - Yum!!! With a vanilla protein shake - extra yum!!!
4. Pam becomes a LOSER tomorrow!!!!
Hope everyone has a great day! Drive safely!

I woke up this morning and thought I had TOTALLY missed a day of weekend, then I realized it was only a day off in the middle of the week .. DUH .. call me blonde .. lol. I was a house slug yesterday .. watched the NCIS marathon in USA, played with the furries . and oh yeah .. FINISHED the work project .. YESSSSSSSSSSS !!!
Today .
1) the dreaded project is done .. I can make it look pretty to be printed and we can move on to the next thing ..
2) only two days til the weekend .. :) .. I was thinking of taking tomorrow off if I got things in a good place today, and this morning my boss mentioned she would be off tomorrow and Monday .. so no day off for me tomorrow but that's ok ...
3) I am grateful for the life I have been given .. it's not always sunshine and roses, but it's the life I have . and what I make of it. Since WLS, I have reclaimed so much of my life and I try to live it to the fullest!
Have a wonderful if not wet Thursday!
Hugs, Mo
Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
Good Morning Everyone
Today I am grateful:
1. Mom and Dad arrived safe in Florida; I'm glad I talked them into going. Turns out my uncle had a blood clot in his lung last week and is currently in a rehab center to gain some strength back so he can go on blood thinners ( see everyone it is heredity LOL)
I know it will be hard for Mom to leave on Saturday since this is probably the last time she will see her brother ( hes 92)
2. That I listened to everyone and went bowling last night . I won $49.00 in the 50-50
3. for my friends - love you all
Wow! Sorry to hear about your uncle, D!! I'm sure Saturday will be bittersweet for your Mom.
Um.....so.....are you gonna tell Dad you disobeyed him? LOL!
Sorry I didn't respond to your text last night - I was half-in/half-out thanks to the drugs! That's great that you won!! Woo-hoo!!! Um...dinner's on you Saturday!!!! LOL!!!
BTW, I'm guessing we'll have to strap Kathy down since it's T-7 days and counting till New Moon!! LOL!!! I'm going this weekend to buy Kaity a New Moon t-shirt she just HAS to have!
Hugs,
T
LOL I was thinking of treating to lunch / dinner after moving .
I think Kathy will be much more excited about New Moon after Saturday.
I asked her about it last night because I wasn't sure which day it was - and she told me it
was Friday Midnight and Thursday 9:00 pm for Twilight. Is K excited? I bet the shirt is at Hot Topics LOL Kathy gets her stuff there quite a bit.
It was tough coming back to work this morning, I have to keep reminding myself I only have one more day this week.
1. I was off yesterday, I was able to just about finish my Christmas shopping, two more gifts to buy.
2. Facebook, this is definitely my newest addiction!
3. Tomorrow is Friday, I could get used to these half weeks!
Hope everyone has a good day!
Hi Traci!
Yeah, it was tough coming back for me, too!! But, like you said - TOMORROW'S FRIDAY!!!!
I, too, only have a few more gifts to buy. I pretty much buy all year long - when I see something, I snatch it up! Especially if it's on sale. I like to get a head start on the buying, because my Mom and Dad (God love them), wrap everything for me. Next on my list is baking - that starts on November 21!
If you'd like, PM me your FB name so we can be frenz!!!! LOL!
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Tia
I started a project a few years ago that we now do every Christmas. Reed was due Christmas day (born the 27th) but every year at Christmas we make holiday (usually more snowmen than Christmas) blankets for Johns Hopkins PICU, we give them to the Child Life staff to put out Christmas Eve. This is the department that saved his life when he was born (he was on a heart and lung bypass machine). We know what it is like to be in the hospital over the holidays and we want the families to know that someone understands and are pulling for their children. We originally did both the PICU and NICU but it just got too expensive.
PM coming your way.
