Medical ID?
It was suggested to me to get a medical ID. Do you guys think this is necessary? I live by myself so if something happened to me, no one would be able to tell the EMTs about my surgery. If you have one, where did you get it? The only ones I could find online you had to buy a service in order to get the bracelet.

Jess -
DVR's office gave me a card that stated I'd had wls - I keep it in my wallet. I personally don't think it's necessary to get a bracelet, but keeping it on a medical card in your wallet is a good idea, as is documenting it on the chart of every doctor you visit.
You might also want to put, "No NSAIDS!" on the card and the doctor's forms.
Hugs,
Tia

I love ordering from www.laurenshope.com. They are fun bracelets in addition to being functional. I have ordered several for family members. You won't be dissapointed.
As a nurse and former paramedic I will tell you it is important to have a bracelet or necklace and wear it all the time. I have seen them also at Things Remembered and I picked up a paper at work the other day and stuck it in my bag I will check it out and get back to everyone with the info. I know that in an emergency the last place they are going to look is in your wallet.
