Bad day in the neighborhood

Well this after noon there was a fire in the neighborhood behind me, one of the crossing guards for my daughters school was killed in the fire. She was elderly, living alone. You never know when you will see someone for the last time.

Local news reported she was trying to open window, (upstairs window) by the time rescue got there she was gone, Ms Rosie was a nice lady. News reported her as 60 years old, she looked older.

Just saw this on the news.  So very sorry to hear this.   I think this was the neighborhood where girl child's best friend lives.....  by Target...

This was behind the carwash, closest intersection is Highfalcon and Hammershire. I am glad I didn't have to witness her passing,  I saw a fire truck pass my house, heard sirens, but didn't go to check what was going on untill later when El and the girls got home and said there was a fire around the corner, and was pretty sure it was Ms Rosies house.

oh my friend Tre lives in that neighborhood.  It was so sad...  I wasn't sure if it was that development or the one behind Target...  

so very sad that she could not get out.   I saw the pictures... the house was destroyed.   how sad.
