Officially changed my mind
Oh one more thing, I DID go a little crazy in the weeks before my surgery, and had the things I enjoyed, ( a month or so before surgery had a HUGE, home made icecream banana split, this is how the subject came up with my brother in law) so ENJOY your Thanksgiving meal, don't feel guilty about it. Post surgery you may not want to eat at all.
Thanks Tom, as reading your story and experience it helps me have a little insight on how this big day (my surgery) will possibly flow. I kinda planned my surgery after Thanksgiving too, as I plan to eat like it was my last meal on eart..LOL :) . I'm talking Pumpkin Pie, turkey, baked mac and cheese, mashed potatoes...you name it I'm eating it. Your story is inspiring Tom and I hope I can tap into your knowledge from time to time, as this is still all scary and new to me. I'm hope I'm as successful as you are. I read how you got your self to stop dry heaving...I'll make sure to pay attention and know that maybe it's the pain pump if I start doing the same thing...
Question Tom,
I'm taking the class with Cathy tomorrow and I read in the book she let me have before the class that you may possibly go home with the Catheter???Is that true?

I never heard of of the cathertor, but I had to miss the presurgery class, My primary wanted me to do a stress test, (I passed, I have plenty of stress) Kidding. She had no real reason for the stress test, just being cautious. It was the same day as the class, so Cathy had me take the DVD home and do the class on my own.
I will help anyway I can.
I had constipation issues years ago with Morphine, They had Delaudin (sp) and IT definatley made me heave. The nurses and Dr A kept trying to give me meds for it, but it didn't work. The pain wasn't too bad, so I passed on pressing the button.
