Wow!  You can eat pasta (ziti).   I have never tried it yet because I've heard nothing but "bad" things.  You go girl.

Only Dreamfields l/c pasta and NOT much of it.  In fact, my ziti is more meat than pasta.

Trust me, I'm not stupid, I know pasta sits heavy in my pouch, so I NEVER pu****  I can honestly say that I've never gotten sick from KNOWINGLY eating something my pouch says I shouldn't!!!  And probably, for the first 3 years, I couldn't even eat the l/c pasta - too heavy.

Dreamfields is harder for me to find - but Wegman's carries it.

It's interesting really,  I felt like that too for the first 6 -8 months or so.  I think our NUTS tell us that we'll never be able to eat things like pasta, rice, etc in order to keep us in line and losing as much as possible in the honeymoon period.  I've been adding more and more things to my diet and have really found nothing that I can't tolerate in moderation).  That being said, I tend to stay away from bad carbs the majority of the time and have a largely low carb diet.  Every once in a while, I'll have a few bites here and there.

I can too. I couldn't eat pasta in the beginning either it would not sit right. But as time goes on you will see how you will be tolerating a lot that you couldn't when you was early out.
One thing for sure is that not everyone has a bad experience with, bread & pasta. Moderation is key.

I am 2 1/2 years out and I don't have any issues with anything that I eat. As long as I take my time eating I am fine.  I am maintaining and I know my limits.  Having weight loss surgery doesn't restrict you forever.  It's a tool and we just have to work it.  I still serve myself on a small plate, and I choose to make better choices. If I eat pasta it is nothing compared to what it was before wls.

I hope this helps.

My NUT said I could eat pasta and rice as long as I could tolerate and still got my protein in. I bought Barilla Plus pasta which has 17g of protein per serving and I had no problems at all eating it and I'm only 8 weeks out. I just chewed the heck out of it and had a lot of meat in my sauce. Of course, I've been extremely lucky and haven't had a problem with anything that I've eaten.
