3 THINGS FOR THURSDAY
AKA Tia's Friday!!!!!! Woo-hoooooo!!! Good morning!!!! Nipply out there, yes? (Channeling my inner Clark Griswold). But the air is just so invigorating!!!!
Today, I'm grateful for:
1. K's award ceremony was last night. We still didn't get to see her artwork, but apparently, in keeping with the Brotherhood/Sisterhood theme, it was a big globe encircled by children of all nationalities, holding hands. I've seen this theme before, so I wasn't sure what set it apart. The amazing thing is, apparently, she took it a step further, and in each corner, depicted a different scene of children of different nationalities playing ball together, studying together and helping each other. I continue to be awed by this child. And last night, I got to see what an amazingly beautiful woman she's blossoming into. She's lost weight, gained height and just LOOKS like a young woman. I also chuckled at the fact that it scares my brother!!!! K was the only one to be honored from her school for anything, and we were very pleased and honored to learn that her principal came to share the evening with us. He said he wouldn't have missed it for the world, and promised her he would announc
2. A great dinner with my Mom and my fave aunt, Sue. We just had a nice time before the ceremony. We don't get together often, but it's so nice to catch up.
3. My early morning George phone call - God, I'm almost sickening, I know. But just the mere fact that he calls me every day just puts a stupid, silly grin on my face for the rest of the day. My brother doesn't get why I expect any less, but he's not had as much experience in the dating cesspool as I. To find someone who's decent, kind, caring and doesn't want to play games is nothing short of amazing. Okay, glow over!! LOL!
4. Bernice's surgery is T-5 days and counting!!!!
5. I get to spend some quality time with my bff's this weekend!!! Can't wait!!! You can take away all my material possesions and my man (okay, no, you CAN'T), but DON'T mess with my circle!!!
Hope everyone has a great day!
Tia
Aw, you must be so proud of K!
And I know!!! 5 DAYS!!!! I'm all nervous and excited all at the same time!!! I'm trying like a devil to get used to that stupid CPAP since they said I have to take it to the hospital with me, but gah I hate that stupid thing. I'm also a bit annoyed with my darling husband calling me "Darth Vadar" when I have it on. Last night he told me I looked like a baby elephant (not because of my size, or I would have whacked him one) because of the hose coming off the head gear. I was. not. amused.
And girlfriend, it's ok to be sickening and schmoopy. :-D It adds years to your life!
Here are mine:
1. There was no traffic this morning - whooo boy got to work in 25 minutes from White Marsh. That's a good good thing!
2. Weekend plans - yay - just the way to take my mind off of things. Plans for Saturday afternoon AND Saturday night...my poor sad social life just won't know how to act!
3. Family and friends - they continue to be my rock right now.
4. My Sadie girl is doing much better. Her problem in her front paw has been attributed to arthritis, as a result of an old injury she received with her previous owners (her should have been dislocated before we adopted her). Vet advised to treat with glucosomine and some tylenol once in a while, and if it gets worse, she'll write a script. The damage from the allergic incident is completed healed. Yay I've got my big old doggie back!

Bernice, sorry that hubby has hurt your feelings. The cpap is a pain. I have finally got use to mine. My hubby has made comments as well. I just ignore him and think how to get him back later. LOL. Glad your baby is doing better. Happy to see your baby is back. I am sending good thought and prayers your way for an uneventful upcoming surgery.
Julie
Thanks Julie! He didn't necessarily hurt my feelings - we tease each other that way, and I know he's just kidding around...and trust me, I'll get him back...I told him he better sleep with one eye open! LOL

Hey honey! Funny that you should mention that......my brother DOES sound like Darth when his CPAP is on!! LOL!! But you know what? It saves his life, so he doesn't care. Somehow, I get the feeling Bob's kind enough and smart enough to NOT say stupid things!!!! LOL!!
I hope that the weekend does provide a pleasant distraction for you!! I know being with my friends can cure what ails me.
I'm so glad to hear that Sadie is doing better. Worrying more than normal about her is a stressor you don't need right now.
Hugs,
T
