it was $750 per person.

well as long as you actually get something for it lol. i wouldn't pay a fee just so i could use that surgeon but if the fee is for the nut and psych and aftercare, that makes sense.

yep I agree totally.   it covers all office calls, all support groups, all NUT, and psych... it covers them handling the insurance etc... and our first b12 shot... 

Upper Chesapeake requires an upfront fee, but it's to cover the NUT appointments after the surgery.  They also help out with payment arrangements.  My insurance doesn't cover the NUT, exercise specialist or the behavior therapist.  Upper Chesapeake is a Center for Bariatric Excellence, and I've throroughly researched my surgeon, his mortality rates, etc.

It is $1,000 and covers 3 years of aftercare at Upper Chesapeake.

Wow Ginger, Thanks so much for this info. This is such a sad story to think this woman was taken to the cleaners. Just another poor doctor who needs to have his medical license revoked. Hope all is well in OC. Take care and enjoy this quiet peaceful time. Spring is right around the corner.
