3 THINGS FOR TUESDAY

Darla Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. My Father in laws truck said ICE on his mirror. I guess that means winter is really coming. My furbabies got in bed last night and kept me warm. What would we do without them? I almost hit a deer this am as I drove my son to school. The fog was bad and as I came up the hill he darted across the road. I just missed him. Scared me to death. I hope I never hit one.

Have a nice day!

I've hit two deer over the years and it's no fun.  the first one was about 3 months after my kids were born - my first father's day weekend.  I was off on Saturday morning at 6 AM to meet some buddies to play golf.  the think came out of no where and I was doing at least 70 MPH.  It was a good thing I was driving the mini van as opposed to the geo metro - to this day, I swear it would have killed me in the other car.  So I am very deer conscious while driving.

1. I am actually glad it's Tuesday. This week can drag itself by for all I care. My Saturday will be BUSY: passport photos, take sister to airport, do some stuff at my parents' house, meet possible renters at said parents' house. Can I pay somebody else to do this for me?

2. Ran at the gym yesterday and still like it. going to aim for running longer distances at whatever speed, instead of running longer times. I think I got bored with that and changing the goals seems to be motivating me. started at a low .2 miles at a time yesterday.

3. Got my possible last trip to india planned for December. Parents move here permanently in May, so I'll have no reasons to go back. But, we're going to be visiting them in a very scenic state and get to see stuff we didn't after our wedding.

Hey Sylvie -

Well, you COULD rent an airport shuttle to transport your sister - the rest, I'm afraid you're on your own!

Running?  I'm in awe!

For some reason, I thought your parents were relocating to MD?

Today I am grateful for:

1. Being able to be a blessing in someone else's life..

2. My cousin was accepted into the Pre- GED  program at Baltimore City Community College and also on the way home yesterday we stopped at Popeye's to get him a job application and they told him to come back today at 11:00 for a on the spot interview and possible hire.. Please keep him in prayer because he could use the extra money for himself.. :o)

3. Just hearing him repeatedly  tell me "Thank You" and he always wished I was his Mom...(almosty made me cry) but I told him I'm not his Mom but I can be his "cousin-mother"

4. Sitting around the table with the kids last night...let me tell you teenagers keep you on your toes...lol

5. My hubby for allowing me to take/share our home with a child I love as much as if he were my own.

Have a good day!!

Yes, Dani, clearly, you and your family are a blessing in this young man's life.  It's good to know that he realizes it.

And you know as well as I do that even though you're not his biological mother, you are in every sense of the word!!

Hugs to all of you,

Tia

Good Afternoon!

I don't know what it is either...I went to bed at 11 because I was falling asleep on the couch.  I got up at 7 to let the dogs out, laid down for what I thought would be an hour and woke up at 10:10.  Yeesh!  Maybe I'm still jet lagged or something?!

I saw my first Christmas commercial last night...AAAAHHHHHH...I'm not ready for winter yet!!!

Today, I'm grateful...

1.  For being able to work from home again today.  I like being able to get things done (cooking, laundry, etc) in between getting work for work done too!

2.  For my warm dogs that curl up with me.

3.  For being able to cook my own food again after being away for 3 weeks in a row.  I have a beef stew cooking in the crockpot and am going to make some WL friendly pumpkin bread.

Have a good rest of the day!
Heather
