3 THINGS FOR TUESDAY

Good morning!  Ugh!  Is it only Tuesday?  I don't know WHAT is going on, but I was pooped yesterday and slept from 6 until 8, then got up and went to bed!!!  Sheesh!!!  I know we're supposed to gain an hour with the time difference, but you couldn't prove it by me!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  A short week.  I didn't recall asking for this coming Friday off, but apparently I did, so I am.  Yay!

2.  They left my window a/c in at work.  Good thing, too, because someone decided the heat in the building needed to be set at 90.  Good grief!!

3.  That we're almost into the start of the Christmas season.  I realize everything's in the stores and has been, but for me, it doesn't really start until the day after Thanksgiving.  I'm so excited!  LOL!!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hugs,

Tia

Morning Tia

I know what you mean about the sleep thing.  All day yesterday I was walking around trying to remind myself that I gained an hour of sleep not lost it.  Feeling a little bit better today - the driving in in sunlight so much better than driving in in the darkness.

Three things I am thankful for today.

1.  Decaf Tea - when my a#@ is dragging it at least fakes me out in thinking I am getting a little boost.

2.  My slow cooker - they'll be a great pot roast in it when I get home - if it's as  cold as it was this morning tonight that will be a really good thing.

3. 8 Days to Myrtle Beach - I am getting pretty pumped up - could mean the days will be a dragging.

Hope everyone has a very joyful Tuesday.

Russel, I feel the same about decaf coffee. I have a slow cooker but am not great at using it. I plan on working on that over the winter. Yea for 8 days it will be here soon. I hope you have nice weather. Have a good day.

Morning Russ!!!

I think everyone's loving their slow cooker for roasts, stews these days.  Post-op, it'll be a great way to ensure that what you cook is as tender as can be.

Sorry, but you can prove it by me that we've gained an hour.  Can you say bunk attack?  LOL!!  But I'm glad you're feeling better.

I hope you have AWESOME weather in MB - what a great time of year to go!

Hugs,

Tia

Good morning Sunshine :)   I definitely know what you mean about that GAINED hour .. all it means to me is that I start getting sleepy about 7:30 p.m. now instead of 8;30, and I FORCE myself not to go to bed until 8:30.   Of course, then I am awake on and off all night long and up at 5 a.m.

Today ..

1) not sure of the actual count of days .. but one day closer to my Vegas trip in January .. REALLY looking forward to that .. and working on losing those last pounds to fit back into the 'red' dress, though now I'm thinking I might rather have a little black dress instead .. we will see.

2) Things at work have settled down.   We still have some open issues we are working to resolve but there might be a light at the end of the tunnel that is NOT an on-coming train.  I've actually made some progress on a long term project that has been haunting me and we might have it done by the first of the year.

3) I'm headed to CT this weekend.  It's just a quick trip driving up alone on Saturday (early I hope) to take a folding table and chairs (that have been in the back seat of Big Blue for 4 1/2 weeks now) to my sister ... I want to be home by 1:30 to 2 on Sunday, so it will be an early start back on Sunday as well.

Need to scoot  .. have a wonderful wonderful Tuesday and short week!!

Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

I will likely pop in and have a quick visit with Mom.   My niece is with her Dad this weekend, so Kathy won't be having dinner for my parents at her house on Saturday, but probably Sunday afternoon and I'll be gone by then.

Mo, Hope all is well with you Mr Mo and the kitties. This weekend will be the end of the camping season. I will be hoping all winter for spring to hurry and get back. A black dress would be nice I am sure.  Great for making progress on the project!  Have a safe trip to CT. I bet the colors will be wonderful. Take care and tell all hello and I hope to see you all next year.

The kitties are getting to be such terrors .. and not so little any more.   The boys are 10 to 11 pounds each . and that is between 7 and 8 months old.  Charlotte is still 'dainty' .. but she's close to 8 pounds.  They run and jump and absolutely nothing is sacred where they are concerned . .it's THEIRS !!!   They do bring joy to my life and I love them all.

Not sure if we will return to DB or try a different place in Gettysburg if we go back next year, but if we are in the area I will be sure to be in touch.  Hopefully, we can get together this winter during the 'off-season'
