Good morning - I'm so busy I haven't had a chance to check in yet here today - Boo

We had a quiet weekend, but it was a rough one and I'm kind of glad its over.  My husband was supposed to go to the Ravens Broncos game yesterday, but opted out because of the weather forecast.  He's glad he is.  Being from Denver, he said he would have rather have taken the butt kicking in the privacy of his own home.

Here are my things:

1.  My dog Sadie got into some pepper grass Friday afternoon and had a very bad allergic reactions.  She was so bad we actually thought she somehow got into some antifreeze, but we couldn't figure out how because she's never unsupervised outside.  I'm greatful for our wonderful vet *****cognized before she even ran any tests that Sadie had swelling in her mouth and paws, and ruled out anti-freeze poisoning immediately.  Unfortunately, the allergic reaction she had caused a huge inflamation in her arthritis (she has hip displasia) and we had a very rough night with her Friday night - we actually thought we were going to lose her.  Thankfully, Aleve and Benedryl have brought our wonderful dog back to us.  I couldn't bear losing her right before my surgery.  She's at home, resting, and nearly back to her old self.  She has some balance issues and some numbness in her left front paw, but she's happy, out of pain, and wiggling her tail again, and I'm a happy mommy.

2.  The Eagles beat them stinky old Giants!  Whoo hooo!  Bring on them cowboys!

3.  The farmer's market.  I made a trip up to the one in New Castle, DE on Saturday and stocked the freezer for my honey for when I'm recovering.  We love the Amish market there and get the best meat and produce from them.  Now he's got a freezer full of meals to last him at least a month!

Tia - I'm soo sooo glad you found someone that makes you feel so good.  It's a wonderful thing.

Julie - I hate saying goodbye to the end of the camping season too.  We have such good friends at our campground and I love them to death!  Thank goodness for Facebook so we can keep up with each other during the off season!

Hey girl!

I am SOOOO glad Sadie is okay - I bet you were freaking out.  All of us with furbabies understand.  Hugs to her from Happy.

I love farmer's markets, Amish markets, and the like.  I especially like the locally grown products - I feel good about supporting the farmers.

MUAH!

Thanks - I'm so relieved my girl is ok.  I'm so lost without that dog!

The Amish Market up in New Castle is AMAZING - its so full of beautiful things!  We get the best beef there and its a lot cheaper than the store, and tastes so much better!

Bernice, So sorry about your Sadie. I hope she has a speedy recovery. I love Green Dragon and Root's market in PA. Great stuff at both.  We will keep up to some extent with our friends as we have plans to go to dinner during the off season. There is a great place called  Hickory Ridge Restaurant and it is a all home cooked family style place. They grow many of their own veggies that they serve. It is fantastic and you must have reservation way in advance. It is always packed but well worth the price and wait to go there. I can't wait till spring !!!!

Morning T!  Phew, can't believe it's Monday already.  Every year it seems like there are more and more children in our neighborhood.  Unfortunately with my travel schedule getting extended the way it did, I didn't make it out to get candy to pass out.  Next year!!

Today, I'm grateful for...

1.  Friends that are there for you when you need them, and you know who you are!  Thank you!!!

2.  That I'm looking out of my front window and seeing sunshine!!!  WOOHOOO...I was thinking I'd brought home the rain from Seattle!  UGH!  LOVE THE SUN!!!!

3.  That as soon as I get my butt to the grocery store, I'll be able to cook some yummy food again.  I made chili yesterday but after reading about stews and pot roasts over the weekend...I want some tooo!!!

Have a good rest of the day!

Good Afternoon!!!  Congrats on the new man Tia!!!  Life is still pretty hectic for me, but I'm keeping it together somehow lol!!

Today I am grateful:

1.  For my awesome son!  He may drive me nuts at times, but he always makes me smile.

2.  For being able to recognize when a guy is just a jerk, and having the self esteem to know that I deserve better and can get better!

3.  For my mom.  She is my best friend and is always there for me when I need her the most.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hugs,
Becki
