3 THINGS FOR MONDAY

Good morning!  Hope everyone had a great weekend and a safe Halloween!!  In our neck of the woods, we had lots of trick or treaters, not a lot of candy left over and the rain held off until just about the end.  I can't believe it's Monday, although I have renewed hope that this week will be better than last - frankly, it HAS to!!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  The love of my circle of friends.  We band together when one of us is hurting - I love that.  Just because we're not related by blood does not mean we're not family.  My circle sustains me.

2.  That I am totally smitten with a really great guy.  Obviously, I don't know what the future brings, but the here and now makes me pretty darn happy!  One day at a time, right?

3.  My cooking skills!!  They rock!!  I made the most awesome baked ziti this weekend - enough for 8 of us to eat Saturday night, my brother to take some home and Mom and Dad to have leftovers.  I KNOW we're not supposed to, but I do equate food with love - it's a simple way of showing the people I care about how much I care.

Today marks a week since Mikey left us.  Please continue to keep Elena, his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.  Elena is a classy, strong lady and has a great support around her, but I know she appreciates all the love.

Hugs,

Tia

Good Morning Tia, Glad you had a nice weekend. We did not have many kids at all I guess the rain kept them away. Yes Tia I agree friends are great and they do pick you up when you are down. I hope all works out with you and George. I wish you all well. I love to cook and find it amazing most of us are damn good cooks and I think that is part of our problem. I am still in shock about Mike and I am praying for all who knew and loved him.

1) Great weekend camping although we had to many leaves to clean up. It was also sad to say goodbye to many of our friends till next spring.

2) Time spent with my 2 sons over the weekend.

3) Friends who listen to you no matter what.

Morning Julie!

I so wouldn't know what to do without my immediate family and my circle of friends.  They are truly life-giving.

As far as cooking - well, once you have wls, you can STILL be an awesome cook and cook up a storm, you just have to get more creative.  Sometimes, things work, and sometimes they don't - I think I've only had one or two things that didn't, but you just keep experimenting.  You'll see.

The leaves here at work are GOR-GEOUS!!  They're all golden and like look carpeting.  Of course, I don't have to rake them, so I'm happy to see them!

Just think - you already have next spring to look forward to!

Hugs to you and Mom,

Tia

Morning Maryland and surrounding areas!

We had a great weekend!  Not too many kids bothered us on Halloween, Saturday was a pretty restful day, and then on Sunday, it was our 2nd anniversary, and the Ravens won the game by a far far margin, we couldn't be more happy!

1.  Long week ahead, and a busy one too, so I'm glad for the extra hour this past weekend.
2.  Ravens won!  Yes, they did!  We had Flacco with a side of Rice!!!!  Awesome game!
3.  Taking Tia's #1 - I love my friends, they help us get through the roughest and the best moments. Without them, celebrations seem useless and down times seem very lonely.

Have a great day everyone!

Tia, Thanks for the hugs. I love the trees and leaves as well. Just hate to rake them. Spent 4 hours Friday raking. Yuck.... I love to cook and have tried to make changes and I guess that will continue for a long time. Take care. Off to doc with Hubby..

Today I am grateful..

1. Being able to take my 17 year old male cousin (soon to be 18) in my home, removing him from a very dysfunctional home enviornment  to give him a stable home enviornment..I also have him enrolled in a Pre-GED program he has not been to school in over a year..BTW..He started today at Baltimore City Community College...:o)

2. The wonderful weekend I had spending time with my family this weekend..

3. My daughter soccer team shutting down Towson yesterday 5-0

4. Because I am so blessed and just knowing that I may be/am a blessing to someone else!!

Have a  great day!!

Thank you so much Tia and Julie...I may not have much however, I am willing to share what I do have if I can make life much easier for someone that is a good kid and has so much potential if only given a chance.
