Question about seeing the doctor before surgery?

We only see ours once right before surgery to go over all the pre op paperwork and labs. My appt is 12/23 and surgery is 1/5.

As Nessa said, The Dr is getting paid to work FOR you. If you want 2, 5 10 visits, that is your right. You need to be 100% sure EVERY question and concern is answered BEFORE surgery. In an ideal world, you will have NO surprises what so ever. If YOUR Dr has a problem with that, find another. This goes for ANYTHING medical related. Most Drs now are changing their attitudes towards patients. Trust me, over the past few years I have seen my and someone elses share of Drs. I now make sure they work for me.

I have seen 5 different Drs and three different Physical theropists for my shoulder issues over the last three years or so.

2 different Drs about my knee surgery.

and one podietrist. 

Get the picture? as they come to understand THEY work for ME, it gets easier.
