Hi everyone, sorry for not updating everyone sooner, 'puter issues. But I'm home and doing well!  Surgery was the 19th, came home the 21st and I'm well into my protein shake stage which to be honest is getting old.  Any tips or suggestions? I keep pushing thru everyday and I'm getting all my protein in and all my fluids and vitamins and I'm feeling really good which kinda surprised me.  But I wanted to let everyone know I'm doing well!!!

Welcome to the bench!!!  Glad it's going well for you!!  Here's to the start of a wonderful journey!

Are you making your protein shakes yourself or drinking the ready to drink (RTD)?  If you're making yours, the varieties are only limited by your imagination.  Try s/f syrups (Walmart has a limited selection or you can buy them online at Amazon), flavored extracts, peanut butter, frozen fruit, s/f fruit preserves, canned pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice, etc.

The first 6 weeks or so are the hardest, but it WILL get better.

I'm glad you're feeling good - this is just the beginning!!

Hugs,

Tia

Try adding some things to you shakes. I used to put in frozen strawberries and Banana's. I'm sure other's will chim ein on how they have done their's.

Glad you are home and feeling good!!

good to hear you are getting in the protein fluids and vits... that's been hard for me and i'm nearly 6 weeks out...

not sure what I can suggest for your full fluids as I don't know what your doctor permits....
