I am so glad that you have done so well and kept the weight off that you did lose. sometimes we only look at the negative. ok we almost always do. but ok 140 lbs is freakin awesome. and you don't give up and you give support.

i am glad that you are a support group leader as well as i. people may try to change that but they have not been successful.

Wow!  140lbs that is fantastic! I too feel blessed that I finally took the plunge and had WLS.  Fear of the unknown has a way of freezing your thoughts and decision making process. Thankfully, I am thrilled with my choices lately, and I already have learned so much about myself, that I wouldn't have known before WLS. I never realized how consumed I was with my weight, and the hopelessness I was feeling day after day-year after year. I have my life and health back, and that is worth everything!!   Happy Halloween, Leslie:)

Leslie I dont know much about the form of surgery you had. I have a family member who wants info on every surgery option. I have only given her an RNY point of view. ;o) Email me on my AOL when you get the chance honey and give me the skinny on VSG. LOL (((Hugs)))

Angie, I SO LOVE MY SLEEVE!!! I loved my band too, but there is such a freedom now without it; while it helped me lose very well, my body ultimately did not want it in there (you know the gory details I think). Having it gone is like a dog that gets to take their choke chain off! No more getting stuck, no more pain, no more reflux, etc. How do I eat? WITH MY MOUTH! LOL j/k! I got a little lazy in my food choices the past month or two and the scale flat out stopped. I didn't gain thank God! Carbs came back into my diet (Floyd lost his job, stress, etc) and late night snacking too (I'm a social eater and DH loves to eat at night). I was basically just eating my meals without thinking about their content. I wasn't gorging or going wild like a last meal or anything. Granted I can't eat much, but my body has shown me that I have got to stick to protein, plus my shakes, and the right fluids. Back on track and the scale has dropped another 7 pounds in 10 days! Dad nicknamed me "Slim" the other day and Floyd dubbed me "Flat Iron A$$". WOOHOO on getting closer to your date! I'd definitely be up to meeting with you anytime! I'm just in Rosdale, so not too far for me to head over near you. PM me!
