That is a wonderful idea! Trust me I can relate on the boots I always wore the ankle ones because they never fit my calves. I am so excited for you. I can't wait for that day to come for you!

I just experienced exactly what you re talking about. I always wore short boots or boots that were not made from leather,but from pleather! You can stretch that pleather to fit around your thigh if need be! LOL Two weeks ago, I went to DSW with a friend and bought not 1 but 2 pair of beautiful leather boots! One was similar to a cowboy boot and comes to mid calf. The second is a beautiful boot that comes all the way to my knee with no zipper! It really is amazing that purchasing boots is something people usually have on their to do list, but for me it was a dream come true. I will remember that day always. Here's to your boot day! Hey, I haven't posted here much but I'd like to join in!
1. I am going to bed early tonight to HOPEFULLY kick this horrid cold.
2. My kids are all set for Halloween so I can sleep late tomorrow, hopefully kicking this horrid cold
3. I have all the meds I need to...you guess it...kick this horrid cold!!!

Thanks, DP, for starting this!!!! Ugh!! What a crappy week. I am SOOOO glad it's over. It's been quite surreal, too. Sigh.
Today, I'm grateful for:
1. That hopefully, this board nonsense will stop. I want to just put it behind us and move on to support our friends. That being said, like I said, we're not all going to get along. I have people that will remain blocked and others I will just ignore. That's my personal decision and the one I think will serve me best.
2. That I'm off today. Jeez. It seems like just yesterday and conversely a long time ago that I was reeling from the shock of Mike's death. What a horrifying waste. I can't seem to forget. That will come with time, and avoiding the boards will help this weekend, too. I can't begin to imagine what the people closest to him are dealing with. Well, I can, but....
3. That today is National Candy Corn Day. Gotta love it!!
4. That today is my Boxer Girl's bday. She's been such an amazing friend in such a short time. I'm so glad she decided to have wls - if not, we might not have met!!
