3 Things for Friday
1. Haven't been here as regularly as I used to so skipped all the nastiness.
2. Had a really nice trip with the little sister to Roanoke VA for her very first residency interview. She's on her own after this but I wanted to go to her first one. I did spend money at the mall there while waiting for her to be done but oh well :)
3. SAMOAS! OMG I LOVE THEM! thank heavens girl scouts don't sell these all year around. I think I've found THE one thing I cannot have any self control over: SAMOAS!!! Oh, and I am OK with that. I have to indulge every now and then.
4. Halloween party at home tomorrow. the house ain't decorated, I don't know what my costume will be but I am looking forward to relaxing.

Good morning sweetie! Happy FRIDAY! We are having an impromptu Halloweenie thing here in the office today. Usually, there is a lot of planning that goes into having an elaborate pot luck type lunch, and yesterday it occurred to a couple of us that we hadn't planned lunch for today, so we just threw the idea out, and said .. bring something if you would like, but don't worry if you don't .. every one can eat anyway... and as usual .. it looks as if we are going to have an over abundance of food. I made my Buffalo Chicken Dip, because I know that is something that I will safely eat without having my unpredictable 'issues'.
I'm thankful ..
1) It's Friday ... the week has been hectic, but a lot has been accomplished .. and my stress level is down considerably from last week.
2) It's Friday .. and I'm looking forward to the weekend .. no specific plans that I know of .. but I'm going to continue doing some things around the house ..
3) It's Friday ... and I have wonderful friends who I know are there when I need them . and even when I don't.
Have a wonderful day ..
Hugs, Mo
Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
I usually make it with the Lauisiana hot sauce that I buy 3 bottles for like $2.50 at Sam's Club. I use Ranch dressing as opposed to Blue Cheese dressing, and the 4 cheese Mexican cheese blend, then after it's all together I mix in some blue cheese crumbles. The recipe I use is below:
Buffalo Chicken Dip 1 (10 - 13 ounce) can chunk chicken, drained 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup Ranch dressing 1/2 cup pepper or hot sauce 1 cup shredded Cheddar or 4 cheese Mexican blend cheese ¼ to ½ cup Blue Cheese crumbles (optional) Heat chicken and hot sauce in a skillet over medium heat, until heated through. Stir in cream cheese and ranch dressing. Cook, stirring until well blended and warm. Mix about 3/4 of the shredded cheese, Mix in blue cheese crumbles if desired Transfer the mixture to a slow cooker or casserole dish Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top, cover, and cook on ow or in oven at 325-350 degrees setting until hot and bubbly. (approximately 30 to 45 minutes) Serve with celery sticks and crackers. Original recipe designed to serve 10, can easily be increased by adding can(s) of chicken and package(s) of cream cheese I usually make this with Louisiana hot sauce purchased at Sam’s club and use the 13 oz cans of chicken from Sam’s

Good morning everyone!
I'm so glad its Friday - even if it did take me an hour to drive from Aberdeen to White Marsh this morning...gah I hate commuting.
1. It's Friday AND its payday!
2. I'm taking my last big trip to the farmer's market this weekend before my surger on the 10th...Tia got me thinking about baked apples, so I'm sure gonna make me some this week...oh...or maybe apple crisp!
3. I'm hoping against all hope that I've just bought my last box of insulin. If all goes well with my surgery, my husband and I figured out that I'll be saving $1,500 a year on medications.
4. I have no plans this weekend - NO PLANS...how delicious is that...no running around...no one to please...just me. And I'm sooooo going to enjoy it!

Amen to that. I'm on 5 shots a day...and I ran out of insulin yesterday. I only have a week left and I still had to pay full price for a 30 day supply. Highway robbery!
This surgery will be sooooo worth not having to stick myself in the gut 5 times a day. Although it is amusing because my poor husband, who has lived with me for going on five years, still gets squicked out when I give myself a shot. Goodness knows, if I ever had to rely on him to give me one, I'm going to be SOL!

So glad you are having a good quiet weekend you deserve it hon. Enjoy!
