if it were up to willpower we would be svelt machines. unfortunately there are things that make us feel like eating more than we should and the surgery helps that. just in case she got in your head, don't let it. you are doing the right thing for yourself. you are taking a stand and that is what we have to do for ourselves. good luck sweetie.

That ****** me off! Let's talk about WILL power. You are WILLING to undergo major surgery to save your life. You are WILLING to abandon your relationship with food, as you knew it, in favor of a better way in order to change your life. You honestly don't know what lies ahead when you have surgery. You might be able to eat what you ate before, you might not. Who's to say. That is brave and if bravery is not powerful, I don't know the meaning of the word!

Good for you.  Most people do not understand the struggles that obese people go through on a daily basics. 

I am so sorry you had to deal with that. You handled yourself very well. I like many others may have flown of the handle at a comment like that. Kudos to you for keeping your composure, shows you are one smart woman!!

Y'know **** 'em, honestly **** everyone who's going to treat you and your journey with even a little bit of negativity. you don't deserve it. I completely cut out one person from my life because she would not stop making negative comments about WLS, and my life has not suffered at all by not having her in it.

for every 1 ignorant asshole, you'll find 5 supportive people who'll cheer you on every step of the way.

Okay so the general concenses is Julie, Angie, Tia and I (along with several others) are going to get her and beat some sense into her! What a freaking bozo! After the week I've had I think I would have punched her and then called someone for a ride!! You are a much BETTER person then I not BIGGER!!! I'm the one being the failure this week. I knew the longer it took for me to get this surgery the worse it would be because now I'm back to munching and gaining!! Gotta stop!
