Two days until surgery! Holy cow! Where did the time go?

Also I've had a sore throat and been coughing the last few days. I do not have a fever (I've been checking it like a maniac). Should I be worried about them canceling/moving my surgery?

first...

congrates on your sugery!!

as far as your sore throat, every surgeon is different, my surgeon told me that as long as i dont have a fever the surgery would proceed.(i asked about fevers) also, they give you antibiotics right as theyre putting you asleep (or at least they did me) so that should catch any thing minor. keep tabs on your temp, if it gets high call your doctor.

good luck! see ya on the other side!

WOO-HOO!!!!!  Congrats!!!  Yes, the time pre-op FLIES!!!!

I personally think you should call your surgeon posthaste!!!!!!  You DON'T want to take any chances and you DO want to be in as optimal a health as possible going into the OR.

Time does fly, especially the closer you get.

I've had a couple of surgeries with a sore throat but no fever.  Tia's right though, call your surgeon ASAP just in case!!

Best of luck,
Heather

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery.

I would let your doctor know about the sore throat.  I had a sore throat with no fever, coughing and post nasal drip.  My surgeon didn't want to take any chances had me to urgent care and check for strep throat. Sure enough I had it and my surgery was cancelled.  But it was for the best since it could have turned ugly having surgery with strep throat.

Just get it checked out and if all is good then you have nothing to worry about.

Best wishes!

see I told you it would go fast.  if you have no fever and you are not having trouble breathing you should be ok but call the office tomorrow and check with them just to be sure.

Thanks guys :) I called DVR this morning and they said they'll do an extra blood test to make sure my white blood cells are in the proper range, they expect it to be fine. So yay! Tomorrow-can't believe after so long it's actually happening. I don't think it'll sink in until I'm actually going into the operating room.

That's great news!!  And you're in simply the best hands!!  I just love that man!  Do you have anyone on the board that your family can notify when you're a loser, you know, an angel?
