SAD NEWS FOR OUR GAIL
Thank you all for your condolences. It has been very hard for all of us. I have been staying with Marylu and it is beyond me how well she is holding up through all of this. I think she is almost giving more support to family and friends then she is receiving. I am sure that there will be a time that she will grieve. She has seen him go through so much in the last couple of years and especially the last couple of months that she was somewhat prepared.
While Ed waited for a heart he developed an infection at Johns Hopkins that was drug resistant. He would probably never received a heart and surely would have never left the hospital again. Every organ in his body was being kept alive by medication or machines. Nobody should have to watch their loved one go through this.
He is surely in a better place.
