Hey Jillybean,

Good list, great info, but also you might get very lucky. I feel blessed that aside from a scare about Bili being high, (normal on followup tests) the only problems I have had were self inflicted,

Foamies: Usually from drinking too fast.

and vomiting a couple of times from eating too much,  This was early after surgery.

It must be pointed out,,, EAT SLOWLY, LOOK AT THE PORTION, 1/4 CUP NO MORE!!
Since I have limited it to that, vomiting has not been a problem.

So it can go extreemly smoothly,

BUT

THIS IS MAJOR SURGERY, AND (worst case) IT IS POSSIBLE YOU COULD DIE.

For me the risk was worth it, I did a lot of reasearch, here and other places. I talked to my doctor, my Endo, even my Podietist. I talked to Drs I met in everyday life.

Do your own research,, and a lot of it.

Tom

People laugh because I'm different, I laugh because they are all the same

Great info Tom and I AGREE!!! I never threw up after surgery but I had the pains in my stomach  bad if I ate too fast. Right now I have lost muscles in my arms and one of my legs because my body has been pulling from that to keep me alive and that is so NOT COOL!! Now I have to eat MORE PROTEIN. I thought I was eating enough and getting enough with my whey powder but nowhere near enough. So I have to learn something new everyday. I have overall been lucky and on a smooth path but if I dont change my eating that could all change. YIKES!!!!

;o) Happy Saturday ~Jilly~
