You know I love you more than my luggage, Cira.  And THIS time, I would not have been swayed from my decision to post what I did.

But thank you - I know you just don't want me to be the sacrificial lamb anymore - TRUST me, I will NOT be.  But I did think Candy's rendition of me as The Good Shepherd was pretty freaking hilarious!!!!!

Morning sunshine!

How'd your ortho appt go? They doing photos and giving you good drugs, i.e. cortisone or anything?

*hugs* so glad Dad's spot was 'just' an infection and nothing worse.

I don't think you specifically have anything to apologize for T. (or maybe this will encourage some others to come forward as well!)  You were one of the first on this board to embrace me with open arms and not criticize or demean me for asking questions and/or stating opinions and suggestions.  For that I am grateful.  I hate that 'attack' mentality that has become co common these days, especially when people forget that this is a support board and that sometimes emotions are hard to read.  I'm hoping this can turn around.

At any rate, I just want you up and running and feeling better again.

Love ya gf!

Thanks, honey!!!  No pics at the ortho - he thinks it's muscle related and gave me a topical rub and some oral steroids.  Said no shot because a shot has to go in a joint and this is in my shoulder blade, not a joint.  Have to go back in 3 weeks, so we'll see.

Amen on Dad, honey!  But....can you believe.....he was actually pissed that he has to go through another CT scan!!!!  LOL!!!  We all kind of looked at him like, "WTF????"

As for the rest, I gladly consider you part of my circle.  If you recall, not only did I welcome you the first time around, but I hunted you down and FOUND you when you'd disappeared!!!!!  That's how much I knew we were going to be buds.  And we are.  Foreber!!!

Oral steroids are good!

Yep, there's no escaping each other now!!! LoL. Even tho I still don't have my insurance approval or date, I know I can still be comfortable hanging around here.

Tia, I am so relieved to hear about your Dad.  I've been praying for him since you first said anything about it.  I'm also so sorry your shoulder is in such a snit.  I have tendonitis (my husband calls it "oldfartitis") in my elbow and if your shoulder hurts anything like my elbow, I hope they give you some good drugs.

As for the other stuff, until lately, I've mostly lurked on this board, but have found the help and support of all of you to be priceless to me.  The past six months have been tough, and I've been able to come here and gain insight, gets some laughs, and I think I've made some friends that will be a lifetime support system for me.  I've always said one thing about myself, "Like me, don't like me, I don't care.  It makes no nevermind to how I feel about me."  I always wanted to be a member of the Pink Ladies though....back when I smoked, I taught myself to french inhale, just like Frenchy!  I also had an unfortunately hair dye incident to which my friends serenaded me with Beauty School Drop Out.  Let's just say I don't look good with Baby Chick Yellow hair...le sigh.

Here are my three things:

1.  My niece's wedding is nearly here, which is going to be an end to the immense and unfortunately drama that has surrounded the past 18 months of engagement.  Thank Heavens for that one.  Oy Vey.  How many times I've wanted to scream "Why don't you just elope????"  I love my niece, but wow has this wedding been an adventure.

2.  My paperwork is done, and in at the insurance company.  Hopefully there will be no more hoops to jump through.  This fat girl doesn't like to jump.  Still begging everyone to send forth some "Get approved" vibes my way.

3.  All of the books I had on hold at the library have come in and I am happily immersing myself in the Southern Vampire Mysteries.  I haven't been able to read this whole entire month because I've been working on crocheting a wedding ring afghan for my niece as a wedding gift and that bad boy is done!  Back to my beloved books!

Julie - I continue to pray for your Mom, and for you.    Caretakers need loving too!  *hugs*

Thank you, Bern!!!!!  I've been secretly and not so secretly worrying myself to death over my Dad.  I swear, the man has 19 lives!!!  Thank God he does, too!!!  The support I've gotten from my friends on this board and on the Singles board has been amazing.

I'm really glad you've seen through the bs and saw fit to stay - you are a definite worthwhile addition!!!

Baby Chick Yellow Hair - OMG!!  I SOOOOOOOOOOO needed that, girl!!!!

You know we're here for you as your wls journey progresses!!

Hugs and love,

Tia
