3 THINGS FOR WEDNESDAY
Today, I'm grateful for:
1. My friend, Ron, from Canada, is having his revision surgery today here in the States!!! He's such a nice guy and I can't wait to hear from him. He's having open surgery, so I hope his recovery is uneventful. Here's to you, Mr. Incredible!!! I love ya!!!
2. My new toy. I never knew something so compact could give me so much pleasure. And in a little over a minute, too!! Wow!! The power of this thing is AMAZING!!! I mean, really, whoda thunk pre-op that I'd be ga-ga over a microwave egg poacher?? LOL!!!
3. Flexeril - Yes, I AM grateful for a prescribed drug!!!!! Hey, better living through medication, right? Words to live by - "There are two types of people in the world - those who are on medication....and those who SHOULD be!"
4. My vacationing friends who think enough of me to text, email and otherwise keep in touch with me. Even if you do send me decadent pictures of dessert!!!!
5. December 1 - This is George's settlement date for his new house in Cecil County! Woo-hoo!!!! I am SOOO excited for him - and for us. Given his current situation (NO, he's NOT married), it's been darn near impossible for us to date, and I've had to be incredibly patient - completely unlike me. But we both think the other is worth it, so......!! I hate to wish my life away, but come on December!!!
Have a great day!! Going back to bed for a while!!

My three things today
1. Amen to the notion of job security - in these hard times knowing that you have some inkling of security really helps sleeping at night
2. Sleep - man I don't get enough of it but for the last year since I've started doing the CPAP thing the quality is so much better
3. My teenage twins - yes they're hitting their teenage years and yes that means more hand wringing on Dad's part - but deep down they are good, smart kids with a solid head on their shoulders and a solid moral compass - I am so grateful for that.
