Now, I've made no secret on this board for my love of......CHOCOLATE.

Sigh.  It's my biggest weakness, and one that, like many of you, I battle daily.

HOWEVER.....last week I got a picture text from Darla and Kathy while they were in Florida showing a sinful chocolate cheesecake - Darla said it was organic and sweetened with agave nectar.

Today?  I get a picture text from Candy and Jerry in Vegas - I expected to see a photo of Candy in front of some famous Vegas landmark, but NOOOOOOOO.......it was a picture of a chocolate dessert!!!!!!

LOL!!!!

Umm......thanks!!  Guess the jig is up, huh?

That is wrong in so many ways!  It's one of my weaknesses too.  Guess I should be glad she doesn't have my contact info. lol

Good thing it wasn't a scratch and sniff text!!!  LOL!!!!!

Pre-op, my weaknesses were chocolate, pizza and ice cream.  Now - 2 of the 3 remain.  Surprisingly, I can take or leave ice cream.  And since pizza dough doesn't always like me, I just eat the toppings.

The chocolate, however, is another matter.  Although now, I tend to buy the higher quality stuff - a little bit of good quality goes further than a lot of lesser quality.  If that makes sense!

I just thought it was hilarious that THAT'S what I got from their vacations!!!  LOL!!!

Can you still eat chocolate with no ill side effects?

Just a small quantity of real, good quality chocolate - usually dark.

If I eat s/f chocolate or a cheaper variety, I will get sick with cramps, diarrhea, etc.

Of course, it affects everyone differently, and I don't think I opened THAT door until I was at least 9 months post-op.  And now, I'm sorry I did!!!

Tia, my friend just told me about chocolate Margarita's. She said they are great. I love chocolate. Just take me to Rheb's and I will be fine...

Ummm......choc ritas?  Hmmm........I've had chocolatinis before.

I might have to explore this suggestion.

Gee, thanks, Julie!!!  LOL!!!

Actually, we'll be hitting Rheb's the day after Thanksgiving!! The difference is - pre-op, I could've eaten a 1/2 pound of chocolate in one sitting - now, two dark chocolate vanilla buttercreams and I'm satisfied!!!!

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!
