Get chilly easily now

Does anyone else notice this, I have never been one to get cold easy, but now it seems I always need a sweat shirt and long pants. I am guessing it is from the reduced calorie intake - burning?

Whatcha think?

I don't know why... I do know I feel like I live in Alaska right now!  I was told it has a lot to do with the amount of padding we have lost!  Hoping it is a temporary issue and eventually my body will realize it has to get warm on its own...

I am sleeping long pants and sweatshirts and had the air set on 75 all summer... last year it was set on 68... it causes a battle in our house now, we are both always checking to see the other has not turned it up/down!  *grins* It is a game to see how long we can keep it the same without getting caught!

when we went in for our final preop we had to sign the papers that listed potential side effects and one of them was  "intolerance to cold"

well I can tell you at 3 weeks out (and barely having lost any weight yet) I'm FREEZING all the time.

so it' can't be from the padding issue...

Tom,

You are exactly right, we aren't taking in as much therefore we have less fuel to burn.  At some point lack of padding contributes as well, but since it starts pretty much right after surgery, before we've lost much padding, it's obviously not just that!

I make good use of blankets and heating pads these days!  LOL!
