Kelly did I miss another meeting? Girl...you need to drive to the Dena and THUMP ME IN THE HEAD! I have to get to another one soon! And I agree that a lot of the newbies leave the board because they feel there are "Board Bullies" as one said recently and that is such a shame. I am glad I can keep in touch with them on facebook and other places but they should still feel welcome here on this Maryland SUPPORT BOARD. Its BOGUS! I think some people forget its a support board for WLS!!! I would never leave a board because someone said something to try and hurt me or because I was blocked. Shoot....... I dont get intimidated...nor do I back down. Last I checked I was GROWN! lol So WE ARE ALL WELCOME TO POST WHAT WE WANT!
(((((Hugs))))))) Everyone getting surgery or considering surgery is over eighteen and were not their parents so they can decide what to read and what not to read. IMO!!!

apple crisp is my fav. my mom made her version of it this weekend and i ate it with relish though only enough before i dumped LOL. if i could make a version where i do not dump that would be awesome. I'll have to try this out. I use that brown sugar stuff but forgot you only have to use half and wow my sloppy joe was really sweet LOL. thanks terri and jilly.

To those of you that said THANK YOU, you are very welcome.  As Jill said this is a TREAT not a meal.  I know my limits when it comes to sweet things and all I took from the dish was 1 TBS and 1TBS of the no sugar added Bryers vanilla ice cream.  It cured the craving for something sweet.  I think even the newbies know that EVERYTHING is eaten in moderation now.  Everything you eat is a trial and error basis now.  The bashing on this board is the whole reason I stopped posting.  What about all of you that go out to lunch or dinner on a regular basis???  Do you really know what is in the food that you order??  Do you really think that you are getting something healthy to eat????  You aren't in the kitchen when they are cooking the food that you order. That right there is not something a newbie should be doing either.  The last post I posted on the board was for help when I was in a bind and though there were many that read the post, not one would help me with the problem I was having and would not give me some advice on what to do. As someone else said, if you don't like the title of the post, don't read it.  I would hope that if it is a newbie that is unsure of the recipe then they would write it down and ask their NUT if it is something they could try yet.  Apples are good for you, we are all told to use a sweetner, not sugar.  If you already know you can not tolerate any kind of sugar or sugar alcohol then you already know you can not eat this.  Again, I am done with this board.  Thanks for trying Jill.

don't leave now.   I agree with you.  Everyone has to walk their own path and make their own choices.

And none of us are stupid and children even if some of us do act that way.  (I know I can be guilty so I'm NOT pointing fingers)

personally a little bit of apple crisp is NOT what made me fat.

it's the box of life cereal gone in 2 days
it's the big mac and large fries and milkshake
it's the pizza (not a slice of pizza  but a PIZZA)

and it's the delusions that I was eating healthy.  Yeah  a huge salad with wasabi peas, 300 calories of cheese, 200 calories of dressing,  an egg some imitation crab....    yeah  let's look at our 700 calorie salads and then think that some LIGHT work on the arc trainer makes up for it.  UMM NO.

a little bit of apple crisp for someone who is far enough out to make the proper choice should be a freaking NO BRAINER.

Yes, for someone far enough out..... I agree.

As you notice, I was mentioning for newbies.  I feel education is key and unfortunately not everyone gets that from their DR or NUT and looks to boards for advise.
