HAPPY COLUMBUS DAY!!  I've had a nice long weekend, and since Happy decided she needed to go out and eat grass, I thought I'd post now.  Anticipating seeing George this a.m., but he's still sick, although getting better.  SIGH.  I have a well of patience I didn't know I had when it comes to dating!  LOL!!  If he texts and says he's not going into work, I'm going back to bed!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  Darla and Kathy arrived home safely from their trip to Florida!!  Yay!!!!

2.  I had a great time on Saturday with some friends.  Always a blast when you get TRULY good friends together!!!

3.  My crockpot - I love you, lil guy!!!!  LOL!!!

Have a great day!!!!

Good Morning! I am running a little late this AM, so I get a chance to make a quick post! I am glad you had a good weekend, Tia. I used the crock pot this weekend too. Glad Darla and Kathy are home safe -missed you! I have been having my struggles with hip pain that has been getting progressively worse. So I started the medical investigation last week. So far - x-rays show no fractures or structural issues. I see the Ortho MD later this afternoon. I have not exercised since last Tuesday, trying to  see if rest helps - it does some. But I miss the gym, especially the pool. I may still go to Pilates tonight as some of the stretches actually feel good. We'll see.

Today, I am grateful for....

1 - A quiet but wonderful day with my twin nephews, just hanging out at my place on Saturday. I truly enjoyed their company. They really are good kids.

2 - For the signs that the permanent job that I applied for will be offered to me. They are stuck on all the internal paperwork. So- keeping my fingers  crossed.

3 - Holiday plans - I made a decision that no matter what, I am going to go visit my family in Indiana for Thanksgiving. It has been way too long  since I have seen them.

Have a super Monday! I miss chatting with everyone during the day!

Happy Columbus Day Tia,

I woke up this morn and felt so lite on my feet that i figured, humm - let me weigh in (since i've been avoiding the scale like the plaque for last few days). But, stuck with my word and put some time in on the tread.

AND:

1. Today i'm thankful for a weigh in of 200 pounds (that's a loss of 3 pounds) OMG, maybe i'm back on track - you think!

2. i'm also thankful for my new grandson William, and his new babysitter - my daughter is back to work after maternity leave and she says that he has taken  to her with no probalems (YEAH).

3. i'm thankful that Columbus discovered America so that i can chill out and enjoy this day!

Have a Great Day Everyone!

2.  I get to go help with my son's kindergarten computer class.  That's always fun for me.

3.  God has blessed me with such great friends and people in my life.  i don't deserve it.

Morning all!

A crockpot cookbook (with pictures) is on my Christmas list. lol

Darla, welcome back. Did you have a good time?  What did ya'll get into???

Debbie sure hope they figure out what's up with your back/hips.  I have suffered greatly from lower back/hip problems for almost 5 years now.  I think they decided it's tendonitis/bursitis.  Good luck - I feel for ya.

Of course we missed you Diva.  Wondered where you had been.  Got any pictures from AZ?  I haven't been there but it's def on my list of 'to do's'

Today I'm grateful for:

1.  That I get to see my mom and siblings this week. YAY!!! I can't remember how long it's been since we've all been in the same place at the same time.

2.  That I got to spend time and catch up with some awesome friends.  We don't get together often enough, but I love spending time with my girlfriends.  They help complete my life.

3.  a clean truck! lol.  I'm taking the DH's truck to NC this week as it's more comfy than my car and I took it to the car wash yesterday and it SHINES!

Thanks Angie! TheOrtho MD thinks it is sciatica. I am going for an MRI on Tuesday. While it will not diagnose sciatica, it will help confirm there is nothing else going on. I have also been cleared to expercise, particially those things that stretch the sciatica.

Well I sure hope it's nothing too serious. If they recommend any injections for you please let me know as I have a great doctor that I'd highly recommend.  It's not often I'd actually recommend one of my doctors, much less highly. lol.

Afternoon all,

Since the feds are closed today and thus our lab, I took the liberty of sleeping in this morning.  I'll be heading down to Newport News for a few days this evening and have a ton of things to do before I leave.  I won't be on the boards during the day while I'm gone but will catch up in the evenings/early mornings.

Today, I'm grateful...

1.  That Darla and Kathy arrived home safely and had a good trip!
2.  That Candy and April are now on their long-awaited vacays and that Ang gets to see her fam this week too!  I hope they all have great times.
3.  For a great time Saturday.  I needed it and lurv hanging out with some of my BFFs!!

Running off to get more stuff done!

Have a great rest of the day all!
