Danielle's subject line says it all "What a difference a year makes".

One year ago I weighed in at 255lbs.  I had sleep apnea, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, acid reflux, horrible asthma, stress incontinence, major back, hip, and joint pain...and who knows what else!  I was on 11 prescriptions a day and now I'm down to 3 for my mental health, sleep and an ulcer.  But so far, that ulcer is the only side effect that I have experienced.  I've gone from a size 20/22 to a 6/8/10 and while being able to shop in regular stores instead of just Lane Bryant and Torrid at the mall is a nice side effect, I'm just thrilled that my health has improved to the degree it has.  Wow moments just keep on coming!

Another wonderful side effect is the friends that I have made through this board both online and in real life!  I have gained so much through the support of this board and have made some BFFs for life!!  Love you all and my RNY!!!

No its so scary to even think of taking that many meds a day. My sister thinks she wont qualify for surgery because she takes 7 prescriptions a day. She thinks her bad health will not allow a Doc to sign off on her surgery but God she needs it. I will tell her of your situation. I am so glad you got your health turned around. The pix are a WOW in themself!!! WAY TO GO!!!!

Jilly...that's the BIGGEST reason that I did qualify.  Yes, I had a BMI over 40, but barely.  It was the health problems that were the issue!  Tell her not to delay, get started down the path to healthiness!!
