Update 3 week Post Op Visit!
Well after it took me an hour in traffic to get there, I spent an hour and a half with the PA going over everything under the sun.
I addressed everything I could think of from my band size, to my port, to fills, to the forum, to past behaviors, to the reality of eating "normal", to the skepticism due to the lap band forum, comparison with other bandsters, and the fact that I DO NOT want to be another statistic that fails the band.
He addressed everything in full detail an assured me their aftercare program would keep me in check as long as I kept coming. He explained to me the "art" of a fill and he takes pride in knowing he can do it well! GOOD thing for me.
So maybe all those failed bandster do not have the right person doing their fills or staying on top of things along with them staying on top of themselves.
When we talked about nutrition he said to me, you know what you are doing and now the band is going to help you where as before it was only self control.
They don't do a fill until 5-6 weeks so my first fill is in two and a half weeks.
Nonetheless the most anxious part of the report. I lost 10lbs in two weeks since my first pre-op AND I made my first goal to be under 300lbs. Since every ounce counts I looked back over my chart and updated my tickers AGAIN!
OCTOBER 1 - SCALE VICTORY! 298.6 a total of 25lbs (and about 28-30 if we use MY scale).
In the next 18 days before my fill...goals are WATER WATER WATER and a little more movement! I took the first step and picked up my gym card! I'm thinking of starting with a YOGA class!
I'm starting to have more confidence in myself, my band and the program I chose with Dr. Pinnar!
I hope I can sleep easy tonight!

Nikki so happy for you. You sound much more happy and positive today. I am glad you feel better and confident about your band. I have always wanted to do a yoga class but felt to big. If you do the class let me know how it goes please.Take care and congratulations on your loss and future loss too.
