Candy's Update at Dr. Singh's
Yep - heart burn, regurgitation, poor weight loss - signs of the band being in the "red" zone. Dr. Singh took the .5 cc out that he gave me, and boy can I hold dinner da-yown! WHOOT WHOOT.
What strikes me as odd - is how is 10 pounds lost in a month considered "poor weight loss" - LOL, but that's just what I did lost 10 pounds - they like it better when it's 4 to 8 pounds - in a month. I passed the first goal that they set of 177 - and so my 2nd goal according to Cathy is 157. I don't see any problems getting there SNICKER!
They have me starting out at 247, which was the weight at the day before surgery. I'm tracking my weight loss from when I got the "date" and the orders to do the liquids for 2 weeks preop. Which is 265.
September 1st - I weighed in at 177, and got that .5 cc.
today - a whopping wet 167 pounds, and he took back the .5 cc - so I'm back to having 5 cc in my band.
Weight loss wise, I was shocked myself. LOL, I think their scale is nicer than mine. If it comes up missing, please don't point them in my direction.
Also, the doc said some people have been dropping my name when they see him, it's amazing to me that I have some sort of impact on people that they will mention me when they stop through his office. So for those who mentioned me - thanks, it is REALLY nice to know I can help in any way I can.
Love you all!

Yanno - if they did include some of those words - I think it'd violate patient doctor confidentiality rules - so he wouldn't have told me that some people think that I am 2 cards short of a 54 card deck.
The good thing is that there wasn't people in the waiting room with straight jackets when I was leaving his office.......

Candy, That is great news sorry about the yucky stuff and I hope that it will go away quickly. That is wonderful to see what an impact this you have had on people and that people really respect what you say. I commend you and think you are great to help people and share your experince with those who are in need. Continue the good job and I hope to see you Monday if you make it to Crofton... P.S. If the doc's scale is missing could I please borrow it?

They indicate poor weight loss as "too much weight lost" in a time frame. The banders are to experience a 1 to 2 pound loss a week as they go through the banding process. Naturally, it could be a lot in a month or two after the surgery because suddenly the body is shocked into losing weight over restriction.
I lost more than that "suggested pace of loss" in a 30 day period and I'm 10 months post op.

WOOHOO!! You go girl! I hope the unfill fixes your issues...well, those involving the band anyways!
The scale at my docs office yesterday was better than mine at home too! Dammit...I guess I should just keep using my home scale since that's the one I started with. Grrr!
I have your CC waiting for you!
