THURSDAY'S FEED BAG
Okay, I'm on a carb-free mission again! The last time I did this, I lost 10 pounds in 10 days - and I worked my butt off for it, too!! I'm not opposed to working hard for it, but I DO want to see results.

That's okay! You'll learn to become very creative in order to maximize your protein intake.
Steak is high in protein, but for the first few months, kind of hard to eat - protein dense foods such as meat can get stuck easily and cause horrendous pain. It'll be especially important, when you eat these foods, to remember to chew, chew, chew and then chew some more!
I promise though, after a while, it will become second nature!!
My version of Greek chicken salad is chicken tenders that I sauteed in olive oil and Greek seasoning (available in most grocery store spice aisles), and tossed with olives, feta cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers and Greek dressing. I also do this with shrimp a lot, too.
Don't worry, there are some great cooks here, and we'll be happy to help you and your wife learn to cook and eat for a wls patient!!

Yesterday - very horrible
B - protein shake and coffee
L - protein shake - was on the run
D - Bennigan's Black & Blue burger
Dessert - some of Bennigan's Banana Foster Xango
Today - may be just as bad
B - coffee then protein shake
L - the left over burger from last night
D - may be placed on liquids
Called Dr. Singh's office to check on bloodwork - everything looked good (which I'm surprised because I stopped all vitamins and supplements a couple months ago) except - I need more Vitamin D, so they sent a script for that.
I also mentioned to Cathy the RN that I have been getting sick after the first bite on almost every meal, so she's asked me to come back to get an unfill......this afternoon. Thank goodness for my supply of cheddar cheese soup if I have to go on liquids again for two days.
