3 THINGS FOR WEDNESDAY

Good morning!!  This has been an incredibly long week for me, both mentally and physically draining.  All I keep hearing is bad, sad news - I hope things pick up soon for everyone.

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  Power naps - I took a 3 hour one yesterday when I got home, got up, ate a little, checked emails and went back to bed!!  I feel better today, but like I need to repeat last night's routine.

2.  Dad's PET scan went off without a hitch yesterday.  We won't hear anything until we go back to the doctor on the 20th, but I know he was apprehensive about the scan, so I'm glad it was uneventful.

3.  Early morning phone calls.  This actually was a good one!!  This particular person just sets the tone for me for the rest of the day!!

Good Morning Tia, I love a good nap. I am glad your Dad's Pet scan went well with Mom after the scan the wait was so long. I am keeping you all in my prayers. I hope your brother and the kids are hanging in there. The loss of a pet is always so hard. Take care and I am hoping that next week will be filled with good things for all of us..

Hi Julie!!

Thanks, my brother and the kids are still having a rough time, especially my brother and K.  B is still young enough that it bothers him, but K is really taking it hard.  I even asked them if they wanted to talk to a professional, but they said no.  So I think it's just going to take time.  I'm pretty sure they'll get a young cat (NOT a kitten), but we're going to hold off on that.  I'm going to shoot an email to Kathy T., who I consider to be an authority on adopting cats, and ask for her advice because I'm allergic to cats!!!  It needs to be allergen-friendly, at least as much as something with fur can be!!!

I've never been to the Apple Festival and always wanted to go.  I hope you have a blast and a great weekend to boot!!

There is always the hairless variety! 

Men or cats?  LOL!!!

Ummmm...yes!

LOL!!!  While I LOVE the look of hairless men, hairless cats....not so much!!!

And YOU know I've had to change my tune on the hairless men recently!!!

I have the tortitab if you want her?  She's fixed, negative tested on FIV and Leukemia, current with her rabies shots, and she's shy and likes to hide, but will headbutt, be affectionate and weave through legs if she wants food.  She's still trying to terrorize my baby kitten.  We adopted her in 2005.  We set her birthday to September 11th, so she's 4 years old, and fairly petite.  About 8 pounds.

1.  VACAY is 3 work days and counting

2.  Checked the weather forecast for Jacksonville:  Highs Mid to upper 80's
and sunny  Mornday - Friday next week :  can we say BEACH

3.  I don''t need any new clothes for VACAY!  Its gonna be t-shirts( and God knows I have plenty of these), shorts, jeans, tennies and crocs!

4.  That I get to see my favorite Uncle next week:  He turned 92 in June and I haven't
seen him in  a couple years! 

ummmm do we see a recurring theme here!  Sorry all I'm just so excited about

VACAY!!!!!

I'm so excited for you and Kathy!!  And when you get back, it's hair time!!!! Yay!!!!!!

After these past few weeks, I'm sorely wishing I could stow away with you!!  I've decided that I AM going on the cruise with you guys next year - I deserve it!!!!
