Tomorrow I'll be exactly 4 weeks post-op and I am in love with my RNY already. As of Saturday morning I am down 42 lbs. Also, I bought myself a new pair of pants Saturday. The day of surgery I was wearing size 32 jeans...the pants I bought yesterday were a size 26. I've been extremely blessed that I have not had any problems or food intolerances thus far. So far it's been a great ride. I can't wait to see how much more exciting it gets.

Oh it gets much more exciting!  Just the other day, I was going through all my clothes, and setting aside the larges and larger sizes for donation.  I was really astonished when I pulled out my 26WP jeans.

The beauty of this journey is that there's no going back to being big like that again.

Congratulations Brandi - I'm proud of ya!

Woooo hooooo Brandi!!!  Congratualtions 42 pounds is Super Fantastic!

Wait until you see 2 or 3  weeks that you will have to get rid of those jeans too.  You are going to be in shock!

I am so glad that everything is going great for you.

Hugs,

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Congratulations on your progress Brandi!!  I knew you could do it.  A suggestion though... be careful what you buy regarding clothes, because you'll only be wearing things for such a short time.... 1-3 weeks!!

That's why I love the "boutiques" aka thrift stores.  That way if I don't fit in to something for long, I don't mind tossing it away.... Again CONGRATS!!!!

That's wonderful!  I'll echo what Ren said on not buying too many new clothes, unless of course they are second hand or on sale for a really cheap price.  Even at almost a year out when I thought I was stabilizing (thus buying more clothes), I'm finding that I'll be out of this size soon!

Congratulations!

Ren beat me to it. For almost 2 years post-op and even now, I browse through Goodwill, especially on the last Saturday of the month, when clothing and shoes are 1/2 off. your sizes will fall off every month.

Also post here, there might be people getting rid of the sizes you need. I know a lot of very good and almost brand new clothing went to a very good friend and I was glad. Also just agve away shoes to somebody who I think is very ecstatic with them.
