a little bit of everything
Happy Monday all hope every one had a great weekend. Well I have my last appeal put together and will be mailing it tomorrow. ( have to get an envelope large enough). Decided on a different approach this time. I decided instead of "fighting" with the insurance company I would try working with them. What this means is I told them I understood why they denied the claim. Then I went to show them the amount of money that was spent on me since October of o8 ( $34,563.87) and that they had already paid out more the cost of the wls. That did not include the medications that I have been taking. Also included cost anaylsis for the next 10 yrs, included new information and told them that if there was anyway they could get this approved I am gratful for all they can do. Also told the I was in need of a total knee replacement and the cost of 2 were included in my cost anaylsis.
Also included the cost of covering the comorbidities, complications, and the fact that since there is a life time limit of 5 million dollars of coverage I asked how long it would take to use that up at the rate that I am accumulating medical cost.
So we will see what happens.

i will not be online as much they have taken internet away at work. UHC is regulated by federal laws and they are self funded. If I could afford self pay I would do it. I have filed a coplaint with the federal depertment of labor. I spoke to the california department of managed care today and this is what I was told.
