The only issue I can see if if you don't chew it enough, it could cause blockage.

You gotta chew chew chew, or u will be in trouble.  I know this for fact.  I carry jerky in the car and it fills my am protein needs.  High sodium

I was told once we got to week 7 we could eat pretty much anything just CHEW CHEW CHEW and be careful. Your body will tell you if it tolerates it or not. I remember getting to week 7 and being THRILLED to finally have salad again and the very first time it got stuck. I had to walk around the house for 20 minutes to finally get that pain to go away. But I waited a week tried again and chewed it better and it was a BREEZE! So just be careful honey. Good Luck :o)

I have to agree with what everyone else said. Make sure you CHEW!! Every doctor has different guidelines and rules but at 7 weeks I was still on pureed so your little pouch is still tender and healing. Jerky can be a bit dry and its pretty dense so if you don't chew really good, it may cause some discomfort.

Hi Andy!!

I agree with everyone else about chewing the beef jerky until there is no tomorrow!  lol  i didn't try beef jerky until I was like 4 months out.  I had tried sweet peas at 7 weeks and that got stuck so i was too scared to try it.  lol

I must say when I finally did try it I chewed it great and it never got stuck and you get good protein from it.

Good luck and let us know how it went for you.
